    The Filipino language Tagalog is the purist version of Filipino
    Tagalog is pretty much a combination of Spanish and Native whereas Filipino adds English and Street Slang from the Late Spanish Colony era to now, so that foreigners would have an easy time talking with us..
    Magandang Umaga = Good Morning
    Maraming Salamat = Many Thanks
    Salamat = Thanks
    Po = (Word used at the end or middle of the sentences to express Formality, Politeness and or Respect or all three)
    Kamusta po kayo (formal and polite way), Kamusta ka (used for a single person), Kamusta po (polite way), Kamusta kayo (referring to a group) = How are you
    Ikinagagalang ko kayo makilala = I'm pleased to meet you/Pleased to meet you
    Minikaniko ni Monico ang makina ni Monica = Tagalog Tongue Twister

    i'm french too, with a filipina girl friend since two years, for me tagalog is pretty easy to pronounce, the most difficult part is the speed they use to speack...
    The easiest way is not to listen and repeat, but to read, so i alwais asked her to write before i pronounce, or at least to speack slowly, the 1st time.
    There is still some tricky things like the Ng, this one needs a bit of pratice.
    But the other way is VERY difficult for her, their syllable are kind of mono voyel, mono sound, and french is very difficult on this aspect, because the pronounciation depends on the combination of letters.

    "hi" is also "hi" in filipino. kamusta is "how are you". it's weird saying "kamusta" without saying "hi" or "oy"(use this word only to your close friend).

    Je suis philippin et je parle tagalog, l'anglais, et le français. Le langue Philippin ressemble à l'espagnol parce que les Espagnols nous ont asservis pendant plus de 300 ans. Notre langue a adopté certains des mots de la langue espagnole. La langue philippine est comme le Créole, c'est un hybride de notre langue maternelle et les colonisateurs.

    Some of the tagalog is very easy,sometimes filipino says in "hello" is "hi" and "how are you?" Is "ku-mu-sta ka?" And the "minikaniko ni moniko ang makina ni monica" is a toungue twister for us filipinos because even us filipinos tried that and it took me practice to get it so break a leg learning how to pronounce ta-ga-log and how to speak tagalog and you dont have to learn how to write you just write it with letters and thats why tagalog so much easier than other language (btw "booger" in tagalog is "kulangot"(very easy huh?)
