- Wyatt Langford moved up to the No. 2 spot in our just-released weekly-updated Top 500 Prospect Rankings as the muscle-bound slugger is laying waste to a third level since going fourth overall in the MLB Draft in July.
The Rangers’ 21-year-old righty-swinging outfielder has an insane triple-slash of .414/.550/.828 with 3 homers in his first 9 games for Double-A Frisco on the heels of a 1.097 OPS in 24 games for High-A Hickory and a 1.275 OPS in 3 games in the Arizona Complex League.
How is Langford leapfrogging the Brewers’ Jackson Chourio and the Rays’ Junior Caminero in the rankings? By putting all his fantasy-friendly tools on display over just 36 pro games.

I love Wyatt Langford. I would have taken him over Dylan crews. He’s already man strong and has a simple approach at the plate and a very relatable swing with few holes if any. Best natural hitter in the draft right now
Offensively he sure does look like... I'm gonna say it... I'm gonna say it... The Millville Meteor. If his tools can take him to being an above-average right or left fielder, lookout MLB.

I'd be surprised if he plays in the Az Fall League. He's been playing baseball since Jan when the Fla Gators started training for the SEC season. He had over 60 games in before the draft (he was briefly injured during the season and sat out a couple of weeks). The kid's burned out being on the road and living out of a suitcase. However, I fully expect to see him in Texas before the All Star game of 2024 if not sooner.
