Picture is always worth 1000 words. Getting a new safe delivered soon and wanted to prep myself.

Left mine on the feet - just in case of any flooding issues in the basement. Tucked it into a corner and was sure to load the lower-back wall first & with the heaviest items to prevent forward tipping.

You're right many people will do just that, I'm sorry I did not mention that in the video. Thanks, John

I have thought about ordering the stealth home safe. That's about that size You've got there or maybe slightly smaller, I'm not sure
Which lock To choose or if it would be a good safe.
If I could get twenty years out of it why that'd be great

Check the stealth Safe out on our website for pricing sizes details etc..
DeanSafe.com or call 1800-827-7534. We believe that the safe we sell should last much longer than 20 years. We have Safe manufactures, coming in all the time trying to sell us safes. Often times we know more about their safes than they do, and we're very picky. In general, if we wouldn't buy it to sell, you shouldn't buy it to use.
Stealth is a good brand and worth seriously considering.
By the way, it has a top-notch lock on it as standard. It's one of the few safe locks available today that's made in the United States. Thank you for the comment, John

Can you secure to the floor and leave the feet on? Also concerned about flooding

You can, but it's not easy. You could see the limited amount of space inside of the feet in which bolt down.. We have had more than one customer use high strength, construction adhesive to secure the safe with the feet on it. However, when it became time to move the safe, it was more difficult than he had imagined. He needed to use a heat gun to warm up the adhesive enough to break the bond.
We have had other customers who have had the same water issues that you have. They removed the feet and bolt the safe down through the 2"X4" into the concrete.
I hope this will give you some options, let me know how it turns out, John
