  • This video shows how to check whether the build plate level is good or not. All printers were leveled at factory as part of QA steps. Rarely you need to relevel.
Home position is triggered by the optical sensor. In an ideal situation, you would want home position to be the same as the z axis starting position (Z 0).
This video also shows that in the case that your level is not as tight, you can still adjust z axis zero position lower than home position. This means that even though at home position your gap between build plate and LCD screen is a bit too large, you can still adjust the z axis zero position 0.1mm lower than home position. When a new print starts, it will use the set z axis zero postion as the starting position of printing, instead of home position. So this means that your releveling doesn't have to be perfect tight, as long as it is leveled.
Your goal is that for the first bottom layer, your printing gap between build plate and screen is very small. This ensures a better chance of sticking to build plate.

What are the "other steps" that should be done before this???

Valuable information but video could use work. Better camera, better microphone, better planning on what to say. It would be helpful if you could link a PDF or another video on these "other steps" you can do before having to do what's in this video.

Presentation is good. Audio is terrible. Way too low a volume. Maybe you can get a a lapel mic or boost the audio post processing? Thks. 😉

This is the worst how-to video ever!
