Is there sheet music for this version so I can arrange a big band or concert arrangement of it? A tenor sax can do what the lead vocal would normally do, an alto sax could do the lead on the piano solo. The saxes or all the winds could do those crazy chord parts and a trumpet or clarinet could do the guitar part.
Krall is so overrated . Shirley Horn didn't have a great singing range but had good singing pitch and was far more sophisticated on piano . Krall voice is horrible, regards piano, she plays lots of notes , but doesn't seem to know anything about dynamics, rests, etcetera . Elaine Elias, Carmen Mcrae, Amina Figarova, Marian McPartland, Nina Simone to name a few all much better than make my skin krall ,
I love this ARTIST with a passion, but her backing is outstanding.
