Full circle moment! The last time I was featured on your channel it motivated me to focus on my own and now I'm back with 100K 🚀 I'm so glad we still have the intro from that shoot 😂
I love the channel bro. I remember when I got 100k subs. So proud of u my guy. Keep up the great work. Cheers
Wow Amazing 🤝👑
Proud of you Bao! You're better than you think! Love you too Chris...!
I want to buy your cards ur the best!
Bao and Chris are my favorite Magicians and teachers. I'm so happy to know that you guys are friends.
To Chris and the magic community:
Recently, at the age of 43, I moved back into my parents' house. My father has Alzheimer's and my mom needed some help. Suffice to say, it's a sad and stressful situation around here. To pass the time I began searching CZcams for fun things to keep my mind off of my father's failing health and was immediately drawn to magic. I walked to a nearby gas station, bought a deck of cards, and tucked right into learning some tricks. That alone is a fun stress reliever, but watching videos like this, where Chris is so positive and supportive, lifts my spirits immensely. And seeing someone blow his mind -- his childlike enthusiasm and genuine excitement -- is the perfect cherry on top. I absolutely love it!
Thank you, Chris. And a sincere thank you to everyone who helps crank my 'Stoked' level to 11 on a regular basis. ✌
How are you doing a bit over a year later? Still stoked about magic? Learned some cool tricks? and how is your father?
I'm the first guy who performed Wild Card in this video. Thank you for your review. Chris!❤
What is that trick name
와우
This just reinforces that the mechanics of the illusion are the least important part of the magician's act. It's the showmanship that makes a magician great.
Showmanship grabs attention, and creates another layer of illusion in its own right
90% of magic is presentation.
12:38 Perfectly said! The same thing can be said for music. The moment you can let go of the mechanics and technicalities of the playing the notes, and just play what you feel, people will finally buy it.
Going off what Chris said regarding "being true to your fiction", that really sums up the magic acts that I like the most. My favorite acts are the ones where the magician isn't necessarily "performing", like they're not asking you to pick a card, any card. I like the ones where it's just the magician doing their thing, as though they're just playing around with some magical coin they found and they're just as amazed by the fact that it's disappearing, changing sizes, changing denomination, and teleporting as you are.
Agreed
Song at the beginning: Yeah That's Me! Frank Bentley
Took me ten minutes of research, save yourself the effort
You are the real MVP. Thanks!
Same here
Yes!🙏🥇
"Already hold on"... HAHAHAHAHA Duuude im speechless! 😍
Hahahaha!! He couldn't rewind the video fast enough! I was laughing so hard, my 4 year old had to come see what I was watching.
There's actually scientific literature showing that body language/facial expressions account for 70% of our in person communication
In response to you your “be true to your fiction” talk. You are 100% right. I don’t perform any illusions but I enjoy your channel and magic content. When I see a magician either in person or on video I know full well there is a talent, skill, performance going on. I know that what I am seeing to purely the skill, dedication and creativity of the performer, and that’s awesome. I am perfectly happy to be amazed, confused, befuddled, and thrilled by someone’s talent. I don’t need to pretend that there is something occult or “magical” going on.
I am perfectly happy to be in awe of the talent, skill, creativity and dedication to perform and perfect this stuff.
Loved it, from the start to the end. I really enjoyed the conversations about the essence of magic and the fictional bubble
It is awesome watching a magician that amazes me be completely captivated by other magicians. Something about that is just really cool in my opinion
I couldn't agree more. I just barely got into magic and I'm constantly blown away by the positivity, encouragement, and camaraderie amongst the magic community. Seeing Chris's genuine excitement when another magician pulls off an amazing feat is my favorite thing in the world. It reminds me of my skateboarding days: someone would slam 10 times in a row before finally pulling off a trick and we'd all go apeshit.
LOOOVED your magic rant. This video was well overdue. Thank you Chris. I can't imagine how hard it is to juggle everything you're doing rn.
Watching you is the reason I started doing slight of hand. I’m picking it up super fast thanks to the way you explain line of sight and the core movements. Just want to say thanks for the videos.
I started watching you because of puzzles and the tutorials. I love your explanation as to the truth of the fiction you are selling. It is part of the fun for me trying to figure out how it’s done, but I also love the moment the trick is done and just falling for the fiction too.
Everything you said from 12:00 to 14:30 hit my heart and brain like a cannonball. Thank you Chris for elucidating this very, very important truth about magic, audiences, and performance. Powerfully communicated.
Loved your rant about Fiction bubble haha. Was deep, and shows how much you care about your craft.
Individually they’re awesome, compiled they’re spectacular 😍… the orb juggling is a true art form I could watch all day. Crazy excited to see chess based magic 🤩
I am the card manipulater in the video. Thank you for reviewing my magic.
So glad to see more magic again! That cardistry for the intro was INSANE! Keep it up dude!
I love these magic videos. Great to see those talented magicians in the subreddit. And great cards from Bao for sure!
Thanks for the rant like 11 min in. Genuinely more magicians need to hear and truly understand those words.
Chicago Opener is my go to card trick-- I'm just a Hobbyist and always show somebody that when they want to see something-- thanks for the tip on dropping the card-- never knew that!!! And I've been working on my DPS past few weeks trying to someday get it 10% as smooth as CR's !!!!!
Chris you actually just taught me more in that little rant about magical theory in the middle of the video than you ever have before. Cheers
"Be true to your fiction and you won't lie" I love the way you broach this subject
The light globes are impressive looking....
And amazing when you start watching it again, looking for where the "Strings" should be crossing and getting tangled.
My buddy Chris, on that (12:38) you just said one of the most iportant things related on the universe os magic. Great video!
I started in magic about 3 years ago ans I just miss so much your magic related videos, you were my biggest inspiration and saddly I had to stop magic as a hobby because my creativity just dried out due to some crazy depression that I'm still fighting to this day. But anyway, keep the good job and it's always awesome to see you around magic stuff. Thanks from a great fan from Brazil!
Brilliant video! Love the convo about magic in the middle 🌟
Dude. I need that white leaf lamp behind you. Can't stop staring at it when the vids break. This was nice. Always enjoyed your reactions. Much love bro!
Awesome vid as always chris!!!That intro was DOPE🔥🔥🔥
I love the "fictional bubble" analogy. I often tell people that magic is the same as watching a movie. You want to let yourself be in the fictional world and be entertained. You know it's not real, but that's doesn't matter. Good actors and magicians can sell any story.
8:23 My fav cups and balls ever. Wow. Just wow. I rewound a few times trying to find him loading the last 3 items, just to try to match the timing at the end, screaming "Load!" at the end 3 times and being off his beat. It's just perfect.. Man, even if you know how it's done, it took me several times to even sync up with it visually. Really amazing.
12:40 👏That was so we'll said Chris🤘 I really love your ideas & just overall way of thinking when it comes to what *the real genuine magic comes from & is* ♟️🎭🃏🙏✌️
This man speaks the truth. Magic, at its core, is entertainment. And just like most forms of entertainment, you need to respect the suspension of disbelief. Just perform (or let the performers perform) and have a good time.
Love to see you bringing the magic back…can always see the passion you have for it 🙌
Always giving invaluable advice bro.. Love it!!!
Dooope. I love these videos where you react to tricks. Getting to hear some of the thinking behind magic is so cool. Good on you man.
I have a favorite pair of magicians where I live. I know the secrets to a lot of their stuff, but the presentation brings me back. I love their work.
happy you're doing these vids again, love 'm! cheers Chris, the best to ya!
Honestly, I have learned more about Magic from watching your channel Chris than from anywhere else. Thanks & hope that you are doing well & staying safe! 🎴🎴🃏🃏👍👍👏👏
Madness! I love these videos C. MAD Respect to Bao! 🙌
These intros are fire brother. Your lighting and camera work are just impeccable. So clean.
I'm sure the orb juggling had some other track, but I liked how well yours overlayed with it and I feel the rant was warranted.
I just enjoy your vids so much Chris!
Absolutely loved the tangent Chris!! The passion is what we love !!
That is something I've understood since I was little. I got spoiled when i was a kid. My mom was a waitress at the forks hotel so I got to hang out at a young age with the master Eddie Fechter. My dad was friends with him so he knew all the tricks. He and I have never had the skill but always knew how the trick was done but were in awe of how it was presented. Keep up the good work.
That was a brilliant tangent, well said!!!
I dig the rant homie. Miss these vids and hope you are well.
Bro your growth is so impressive. I remember you having less than 1 mill subs! Keep going bro, 5 mill is a beautiful number👏🏾
4:40 if you want you can always add a small spin to the card to make sure it doesnt flip over
12:00 The best explanation of performing I’ve ever heard
And the trick is that it applies to all performances,
From magic, to ballet, to theft.
you know I was never into the magic world but I really enjoy your channel and I want to give it a shot!
sharing your POV about the fictional bubble really opened my eyes to what magic can do when done well.
immersed me into that sweet sweet world of magic baby 😎
I love all your videos. Don’t just fall into one category. I’ve bought so many puzzles because of your videos. But I started watching because of your magic. I love them all. Keep them coming
Showing our age that we know Harry Blackstone. Saw him on Reading Rainbow back in the 80s. He did great magic. Again not about believing its real, its about seeing what they want me to see and not.looking to solve it.
He was on Reading Rainbow, had "Backstage with Blackstone" segments on Square One TV, and oddly enough even appeared on The Super Mario Bros. Super Show. Our generation saw him more than we frankly had any right to. He was fantastic.
I'd be showing my age by knowing how that trick was done. He had help from Dio and a Holy Diver.. :p
dude its worth following you just for those sick intro B-rolls!!! its just mindblowing!
Loved that 'Cups and balls' routine. It's one of those tricks where you know exactly how he does it, but you're still amazed by how well he does it. 🤗💯👍
It's the final 3 loads that blew my mind. I saw the lemon. But bit the tennis ball or apple
Love magic. Can't do it, but love it. I agree with you in that it's all in the delivery. I am immediately suspicious of performer's who overplay the set up.Also, as an addendum, love the bubble analogy tangent. Go off on as many tangents as you want if they're that insightful. Keep up the good work!
Great videos Chris🤙🏽 Keep going!
Missed these videos Soooo Much❗️❗️Thanks Chris❗️
So excited about the chess content. I love how excited you get when you bring up chess as well.
One of the dopest magical intros of all time✨️
Thank you for featuring me, im that guy who performed the 99 9999% Sleight of Hand, somewhere on the 18 minutes of this viddeoo 😊🙏
Great job... 👍👍👍👍
You finally brought back the best outro music.. very fitting... :) Congrats on the 5 mil subs man..
I love magic more when I know how it's done. And I still enjoy watching it. Cause even understanding how it's done it's still amazing
So many magicians out there...And then here I am...still happy in that thumb breaking trick😂
your tangent about magical experience was what made me share this video with everyone i know xD
Amazing magic ✨✨
Worth every second of watching 🙌🏽🔥🔥
Chris, would love to see a video where you talk about the connection between magic and puzzles. I can see the connection, but you're a professional who clearly has thought deeply about your craft, and it would be interesting to hear your thoughts.
Commentary in this video had me rolling on the floor😆
My favorite part of magic is seeing it in places and people you just don't expect.
Really excited to see the chess stuff! The chess community has exploded over the last few years, so I think that will be really on-point.
5M! Wow!
Your work builds up and now shows.
Dude, all this just makes my jaw drop. I wish I had the skills to pull even the simple stuff off 🤣 maybe I need to find some starting points
17:50 the card is just flat to our eyes while he's rubbing his fingers pinching it, then totally covers card between index finger and thumb laying flat intoward him
Love hearing you break down magic for non-magical people to kind of understand
More magic! The rants were inspiring
Congratz Chris! Smoked that 5 Mil level-up!
Chris- You do you & we will still watch. You have a great channel. Puzzles, magic, or the next thing- we will be here. You are entertaining.
"Had these been kings.." and I'm on the floor dying ^_^
What amazing knowledge and advice you are giving here
3:16 there is a clear camera cut either on the tictoc or on ramsey's video. watch the light on the far right, it jumps during the zoom in on the tictok video
AHHHHHHHHHHHH That intro my poor brain hurts....
So smooth even at .25 speed playback I can't see how the switch was made.
Chris: I’m bad at cardistry
Also Chris: that INTRO though!!!
“It’ll never flip over” card literally flips over 😂😂
Hey, Chris could you please do more magic/cardistry tutorials?
Thank You!
Love the quote "people want to entertained not fooled"
That rubber band effect is sick. I do quite a few rubber band effects. Some taught to me by Dan Harlan. I love it need to learn it.
always fun having a drink and enjoying a good vid
12:38 what me fools in that act is how the strings don't tangle up after a few rounds.
Yeah, congrats to 5 million plus!!! 😁🔥
The bubble thing was deep and really true and that's the way Magic should be told and more teacher should say it.
Thank you for making this clip 🙂
Dude, that richard sanders cups and balls trick sick, however amazing this trick was most of it i could follow, i rewatched it once more and i could see where he produced the lemon apple and tennis ball
Anyone into magic at all knows how the 'cups and balls' is done. Even knowing, watching somebody do it that well is a joy every time.
The puzzles excercises the part of your brain that it takes to figure them out. It’s pretty much the same thing as practicing magic. It’s sharpening your tool for your craft. It is highly entertaining and it shows us how to use or minds in different ways too so no complaints on the puzzles. Id like to see more you flash you lose and have a variety of different folks on to do it. Make it a regular thing.
Hey Chris, I got into card magic because of you, I have learned a lot from you, I miss your tutorials. I have watched others like Scam Nation, Jay Sankey, Daniel Madison, Rise Magic and a few other but I enjoyed your tutorials the most. I wish you'd do more.
Chess magic sounds cool. I look forward to see that.
I love undertoe!!! Need to learn it like right now.
16:21 "This is just great, this was invented by..." *DURR NERR NURR* Hahahaha
4:23 thank you, I've not seen this before. LOL, this is real magic, watching each one fall obediently.
