They didn't take range of the models they gave it to the spas 12 it ended up having a ton of range after the model nerf. Went from a hit marker machine to mini sniper...lol

I do believe they also have a .410 lever-action shotgun in Black ops cold war as well.
The scopes though 😂 oh and try them after the nerf without the scopes. The guns are unusable.

I cant help but feel they intentionally made them OP for the first week or so to get players back to the game...
Its a game model, like a rpg gacha, they release an op charcter , and in the next update it useless because the enemies are stronger than that character, and a new op character takes his place

I'm more into slug shotguns, which they never add anymore, not the slug attachment. My favourite guns were the KSG from BO2 and the Argus from BO3.
The “Akimbo slice” has to be top 3 nostalgic gun setups in all of cod history.
One of the other reasons they were so good in mw2 was that they were secondaries.
The akimbo models are so damn fun to use regardless of the nerf still

I played the most MWIII I have in awhile this week to enjoy the models because I knew the nerf was coming.
They can never let us have something OP and fun to use. We have to be stuck with the same 3-4 AR & SMG meta all year
Still extremely viable arguably the best shotgun and one of the best primary weapons in the entire game. They just toned it down a bit just like with the Mors however you could make the argument that the Mors needs an even larger nerf.
They can add whatever old school gun from the past…. Nothing will fix this franchise unless they remove SBMM/EOMM from their games. Period. We’re the ones getting played! This inorganic experience sucks!

Before you compare distance from the new and old, It's likely that the old gameplay is default 60 FOV locked while people on the new games are usually playing on 90-100+ so it might look like the new ones hit farther in comparison

I think they should have been left alone, considering MORS is stupidly broken and a 1 shot weapon -- this would have been a great competitor.

The 725 from MW2019 will be the new 1887's in the future. That gun was so much more broken, making it look like a rail-cannon compared to the models.
The Striker shotgun in MW3 will always remind me of Xcal, he was destroying everyone!

For the record dudes like OperatorPerry, Jq, xNSL, BYE Misiu and more were using HD PVR's as early as March 2009. Pretty sure Perry or Misiu have pre patch model clips on their channel still

I think the problem back then was shotguns were secondary. People would have run them less if they had to sacrifice their ACR or Intervention.

Seriously ppl can't have fun In COD anymore. There's always something that ruins the experience. I honestly thought the models were just perfect, but not anymore. Thanks Activision for taking away weapon variety. Why add these guns in the game if you just going to kill the trill to use them.

I wanted it for three reasons..
For better close range fights because you have wide spread. (Balanced for long range).
For collaterals.
Also good for less accurate people who use higher sensitivities.

Nah the underbarrel shotty on the FAL was literally a sniper though
People tend to forget the models in iw. Some variants like the epic variants were op but were nerfed. Still to this day they're reliably good shotguns to use but somewhat outclassed by the reaver, Rack 9 or the Spas in iw
There is only one variant in particular the Salvo variant were really op and was comparable to the newer single model Thunderstruck variant which was a 3 round burst Shotgun but you couldn't put on akimbo.
I swear after the 1887 patch there was a class setup you could run that mimicked the way they were pre patch.. Then they patched that lol I can’t remember what the setup was anymore tho
The striker with extended mags was underrated af. It had a really fast fire rate and medium to high damage. Wasnt meant to one tap like the spas or be automatic like the AA12
If you had a jitter mod or could spam Y really fast you could shot as fast or faster than an AA12 lol
