글로벌 퍼포먼스돌 ATEEZ(에이티즈)가 TREASURE 시리즈의 완결판 에필로그 앨범 [TREASURE EPILOGUE : Action To Answer]을 발매한다. 데뷔앨범부터 독창적인 콘셉트와 스토리텔링을 이어온 ATEEZ(에이티즈)는 총 4장의 TREASURE 시리즈를 발매, 국내외 팬들을 사로잡으며 눈부신 성장을 보였다. 긴 여정을 지나 어느덧 여정의 끝자락에 다다른 멤버들. 에필로그 앨범을 통해 지난 여정을 돌아보고 앞으로를 다짐한다.
이번 에필로그 앨범은 기존 ATEEZ(에이티즈)만의 컨셉츄얼한 모습은 유지하면서 여정을 지나 한층 깊고 성숙해진 ATEEZ(에이티즈)를 만날 수 있다. 그간 멤버들은 폭넓은 콘셉트 소화력을 보여주었는데, 이번 앨범으로 TREASURE 시리즈 콘셉트의 정점을 선보일 예정이다.
[Long Journey]
여정의 끝에 도달한 멤버들은 시작의 순간을 회상한다. 이 여정의 끝 어딘가 있을 각자의 ‘Treasure’를 찾아 긴 여행을 떠난 소년들은 사막의 한복판과도 같은, 길 없는 길, 그들 스스로 만들어 가는 길을 택했다. 두려움과 설렘을 안고 떠난 이 여정에서 멤버들은 생각지도 못한 사람들을 만나기도 하고 마치 꿈처럼 느껴지는 경험을 하게 되는데, 그로 인해 각자가 생각하는 여정의 행로와 이유가 조금씩 달라질 그 무렵. 8명의 소년은 드디어 여정의 끝. 그 추구의 문 앞에 섰다.
‘우리가 진짜로 원했던 것은 무엇이었을까’
세상의 빛나는 모든 것을 찾을 수 있으리라 생각하고 시작했던 것은 아니었지만 문을 열고 도착한 그곳엔 아지랑이처럼 일렁이는 빛과 고요한 공허만이 그들을 기다리고 있었다. 빛을 따라 가본다. 정말 마음이 가리키는 곳을 찾아온 걸까. 우리를 부르는 목소리는 무엇이었을까.
[Action To Answer]
타이틀곡 ‘Answer’는 EDM과 힙합의 절묘한 조화로 이루어진 곡으로 ATEEZ(에이티즈) 특유의 에스닉한 분위기가 더해져 곡의 색채를 진하게 만들어주고 있다. 후반부에 급변하며 몰아치는 사운드는 ‘Treasure’를 찾아 숨차게 달려온 ATEEZ(에이티즈)의 모습을 떠올리게 하는데, 그 위 가슴 벅찬 멜로디의 서사는 지금까지의 여정을 돌아보며 진한 감동을 느끼게 한다.
이번 에필로그 앨범은 여정의 끝자락에서 맞이한 만찬의 모습이 담겨있다. 잔을 채우고 불꽃을 피우며 멤버들은 만찬의 분위기를 이어간다. 끝을 자축하는 것인지 아니면 또 다른 시작을 각오하는 것인지, 멤버들의 모습에서는 여유로움과 동시에 긴장감이 묻어있다. 이러한 콘셉트는 뮤직비디오와 자켓 이미지에서 더욱 극대화되는데 촛불, 무전기, 액세서리 등 다양한 소품과 함께 어우러진 한층 성숙해진 멤버들의 표정이 돋보인다. 또한 두 가지 상반된 모습의 ATEEZ(에이티즈)는 TREASURE 시리즈를 넘어 앞으로 멤버들에게 펼쳐질 또 다른 스토리에 궁금증을 자아내게 한다.
