"I recorded my mix for MAJ shortly after the sad passing of the legendary Amp Fiddler, and around the time of J Dilla's 50th Birthday, so I wanted to include a thread of Detroit in there - and as I always do, wanted to support some new artists, in this case ones I think come from the school of Jay Dee. Of course, I had to throw in some selections from recent trips to Paris and Tokyo!"
