I really don't understand the critics on bella being either too childish or not expressive enough. This is litterally Ellie : same smartass rebel with the sweet innocence on the world she discover. Like game and series side by side it's the same character.
I haven't read anything critical about Bella but she makes a great Ellie. As for critics saying she's "childish", she's *fourteen*! Do they expect adult maturity every time she says something? She shows enough maturity and resourcefulness when the heat goes on.
Ellie is a fantastic actress,intellegent,gifted,a musician and in life is so close to Pedro and you see thecosness between them in thier acting and in real life
I finally just watched this series. it's a bomb! the relational evolution between joel and ellie is finely done. the mutual attachment that is built between them is reinforced with each ordeal they encounter. very endearing characters. I do not know the video game but I became addicted to this series.
@@PressAContent Yep. I love the comment Ellie said when they meet Henry and Sam, "He's got an asshole voice," plus I love how they kept the scene when Ellie was reading that magazine, no matter how you put it, it's still the funniest scene in that game.

I'm thinking that I might have a problem watching a TLOU 2 series. The game took everything that was positive and noble about Game 1 and flushed it down the gurgler. Game 2 is a horrible saga of brutal murder and equally brutal revenge that just spirals around into a vicious cycle of more murder and more revenge that diminishes and degrades everyone. Nobody wins.
@@MarsFKA Well the director says that there is less violence in the series than in the game, because it's boring when you aren't playing. I'm sure they'll change some of it, but if you have a problem with it maybe stop watching?
I’ve never played the game but I know about some of the big spoilers. I’m not sure how the general public will take it tbh - certain plots and events like the ones from the second game may not translate well to TV, no matter how phenomenal the acting, directing, sets and FX (or even the writing) are. Stuff like that doesn’t normally happen in TV shows, but we’ll see.
