  • We were unfortunate enough to board the MSC Armonia on the day the incident with the 69 Bolivian Passengers occured. These passengers had been able to board the ship in Brasil without the correct immigration paperwork. This resulted in the ship being impounded by Spanish Authorities in Barcelona.
Like many other passengers we boarded the ship oblivious to this problem. Our daily VLOGS capture what this meant for our holiday experience and our frustrations as the incident unfolded and MSC effectively wiped out our holiday plans for the ports were were to visit.
We booked this holiday for a cheap price and had low expectations of MSC - In our VLOGS you'll see if MSC met those expectations.
In this 1st VLOG we travel to Barcelona and get acquainted with the ship only to discover the issues unfolding onbaord with the Bolivian Passengers.

Blimey - If you spent 3 days watching to see if we sailed you two really did go mad in Dorset ! Seriously though your kind messages of support really helped keep us chipper and positive so thank you! We thought “What would Wills and Rach do in this situation “ …. have another cocktail of course so hopefully we did you proud !!

Shank's pony all the way! We've got to offset our cruising carbon footprint somehow! Looking forward to watching the story unfold!

Glad to meet others like us that love to walk. We love using public transport and walk at every opportunity.
Good that the ship are supporting the passengers but why on earth were they allowed to embark the ship without showing the necessary paperwork for disembarkation.
Never too early for a cocktail!🤣

Thank you! Totally agree and you experience more on foot too! We never got a lot of detail from MSC about the circumstances but they were briefing the press differently to us passengers. It seems according to the press MSC did check the passengers paperwork but that it wasn’t correct or valid for the Spanish authorities? There was some mention in the local Spanish press that some of the passengers refused to disclose where they obtained the papers. We don’t know if this is true or not - However what was certain was the Spanish authorities felt the documents were invalid. We did try and keep up with developments by monitoring local media outlets over a cocktail 🍹 of course ! Thx again
