Hes a smart man. I'm so glad I watched this but more importantly I listened and learned. I'm in school now will have my cdl August 14th at 39yrs young and I've never been so determined in my life 😎
Bro I’m 38 and going into it quit weed which was big for me ,,, you go big carrier and do yo year cintract ?
@@richybaldino4679 I’m 24 years old and also about to quit smoking to start school in august 2021 smoking is a big thing for me too but having a little girl who about to be 2 I need to do this for her and create financial freedom I plan to use this as a great income source to help me buy a house for my family and starting investing in real estate all while buying Bitcoin here and there.. 🤞🏽 thank you for y’all’s little back round stories even this video is helping me get prepared! Any words of encouragement is always nice I hope y’all get yours and get to life the life you always wanted! 🤘🏽🤙🏽
Make sure you keep a 5 gallon bucket in your truck in case you have to take a dump. Keep trashbags as a liner. I know you think you'll never use it but trust me you will eventually. Otherwise you'll experience a lot of pain and suffering cause many shippers and receivers don't have bathrooms feasible for a trucker or you may be parked in the boonies at a truckstop and it may be pouring the rain. Also, try to run a lot at night. It's much much easier to run at night. You'll avoid a ton of traffic and it's much easier to park in the mornings. Other than that be prepared, trucking is not for the faint of heart.
I’m 42 and about to get into it.
@@amaranthinebeauty, I have 15+ years of experience on the road. If you want some tips and tricks to help you out ler me know. Trucking is not for the faint of heart. The first 6 months are the weed out phase. Besides that the industry of now beginning to pay more. Starting out you'll likely get 50 cents a mile if your over the road. So you could very well clear $1,500 a week starting out. Depends on the company but many companies are desperate for truckers. Don't go with a company if they're not willing to start you out at least 50 cents a mile.
Cash is the man. I watch him on the daily. His channel is informative and educational. Thank you for interviewing him on your channel. ☮️ from Cali.

Haha Trucking is like being a salmon you have to watch out for them bears lol

Goodluck to you
The 2 hardest working men on CZcams!
Tax Returns!!!!!
DIY don't count yourself out brother. You have given me a whole theme park of valuable info.
That's exactly how I started out. Started off Warehouse work running a forklift to be a yard spotter for 2 years and then got into trucking. Being a yard spotter before getting into trucking was super helpful.
Definitely gives you a head start
That’s how I got started my self 👍
Same identical start myself. But I actually started as a lumper before the jockey then forklift/warehouse. I have no problem with touch freight.
I think anyone getting into trucking should be a yard spotter first to get the maneuvering down packed and just understanding the basic of how trucking works. That's what i would recommend anyways.
Got a buddy who does O/O reefer loads. He cleans up but I would never want to do it. Tight times on the loads, 3 am appointment times, hours stuck at some of these places etc.... all the stuff we've heard about.
You basically always gunna have to wait at a shipper if you own your own trailer. I ran one reefer load. 3 stops took all night and had to put load locks on 3 different times i hated it id never do it again. Plus the cost of getting the trailer washed out and having to fuel up the reefer unit with fuel takes forever and costs even more money in fuel. So in my opinion reefer doesn't work for me.
Reefer is the last kind of load i’d do. Imagine sleeper at the shipper every night with one eye open... no thanks
@@youngpatrick29 i agree.. some places make you pay the dock workers to unload the freight or you have to unload it yourself by hand or pallet jack if its on pallets i was like wtf is this bullshit.. this happened in Illinois i was like nope never again..
It happened at a sysco no wonder they always advertising ridiculous pay for there drivers they cant keep them because nobody wants to do that shit once they get a piece of the pie lol.. dry van is the only way to go idc what anyone says. Atleast its my personal opinion which doesn't mean shit rite. To each his own. Keep on trucking stay safe yahll-!!!!..
This guy is a real deal thanks for the video a lot good advices.
I haul refer loads all the time but I work for a company and it’s been a year already and I’m 22 years old so can’t wait to do it myself
Do it. You can rent a brand new trailer from Penske with a new authority
I also keep mind unless you want to be stuck with one truck if goes down for days. It better to start for example i say Ryder lease program if truck goes down they will send you another one. Maintenance program is good.
@@broahmed1536 ryder you have to be an established business and its like 10k down and around $4000 a month for a truck to rent. Go to penske. That's too much into your profit margin. Your truck doesn't break down unless it's absolute junk. It just has leaks and stuff. Sensors going out. Stuff like that. It's really the shops that keep you not working because they take forever and a day. You could go 4 or 5 months without needing a repair so that $4000 you're paying on renting a truck that's $16-20k in your pocket.
Trailers are like $1500-2000 a month and when you want a break for a couple months you just turn in the trailer. Don't rent a truck
Becoming a truck driver you gonna make money 💰 But you gonna miss your lifetime, sleep away from your family and they will learn live with out you
Operator needs to be making at least $10,000 a week for 7 days minimum I'm a company driver making 2400 a week I work 5 days a week I'm home Friday afternoon I leave Monday morning
Happy for both Bros!
Amazing guy!!! Wishing you the best luck with all your dreams
Solid interview. Definitely a guy to learn from
Cash is as real as it gets when it comes to reefer drivers. Glad to see you interview him. #Dammitboy
He's a great guy
He's a great guy
Doesn't reefer have to deal with a lot of waiting to load and unload that you don't get with dryvan?
How much more per load is reefer over dryvan?
I'm just asking to determine if the waiting is worth it.
Really great video thank you so much cash is king
I’m 30 years old a supervisor in a warehouse been working in warehouse since I was 18. About to give up 48k a year to try trucking. I have nothing to loose
You can start off making 70k depending on the company
Damn dude I’m making 86k 4days 1/2 trucking took me 2years. I feel lucky. My next goal is 3y hopefully 120k. And that’s company driver
Great Interview
Good informative video. Thanks for sharing.
Appreciate the video
Thanks for watching. Means alot
He ain't bragging now
Cash is the realest in the game
Great info
Damn good job bro keep it up homie
Keep the faith alive.
Keep your dreams Alive
Push it forward, share the Love.
Sure if you don’t mind staying with the truck for 168 hours a week and out of that 168 hours only 70hrs is driving, the money is good but many other options in trucking that make the same or close enough and home every night and work only 70 to 80 hrs a week
That was a good tip. Run a truck till 800k. He mentioned all trucks nowdays r disposable. That real.
👏🏽👏🏽 good video
Rig and trailer OTR is a huge sacrifice. As a dad being home every night is worth more than 7k a week.
#Dammitboy! Looking good Cash!
very nice plan...
His thumbnails alone are Hilarious 🤣💯
Great guy
@@MuthaTrucker for sure💯😎
I appreciate that
Dope Video!
I hauled reefer loads one summer(I was an owner/op) three months was too much for me. Reefer loads you sit FOREVER at my receiver. The company I ran for farthest run I’d get is 350 mile. I couldn’t make hardly anything pulling reefer loads. Trucking has so many options for types of loads and type of trailer(like tanker, doubles, haz-mat, flatbed, dry van, rgn, LTL)
I compliment the guys like reefer loads but it’s not my thing.
It's true,I'm making about same but keep in mind this is gross pay he is talking about then you have to take out all the expenses
love it!
Congratulations on the 100k subscribers
Appreciate you so much
Best Damn guest ever....period. #dammitboy
Great segment! Warrantied Up?? What warranty(s) would Cash King recommend? Why? ... and what price/coverage makes sense?
Two thumbs up!

My bro! Cash!!!
Cash is kind is last puzzle in this trucking game 😃
cash is king the best 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰
Thats about right
It’d be funny to make a spoof out of this, put a voice over in saying “how do you feel about drug testing, cash is king?” Then a clip of him saying “I love reefer”
Tennessee right here good eating!

I just subscribed to him!
I liked the idea of trucking. But I don’t like the limited vacation and time off time. I do. Ot want to work 7 days a week or weeks at a time
Man I love you guys. I follow Cash Is King on CZcams too. He got some good content on his channel.
Great guy
Peace to Cash is King and Asian Mia
Are these the same prices in trucking in Canada? Seems like the US has better rates when it comes to mileage and wages.
Im hear for the reefer🌬
Tanker haulers are making good money
💯💯💯
Good advice straight on point.
Good guy
Well ive been doing it for 19yrs. Done everything including low boy etc. Done reefer again two years ago..
And i can say yes you can make that, but its hard because you get held 3-10 hrs at loading and delivering..and thats now on a regular basis..because ppl are short staffed.
Also the lumper fees are rediculous..$150-350..reefer sounds good..but he aint telling you about the wait on both sides of the freight.
Ohh yea..reefer fuel..and customers aint paying for all that reefer fuel
How many hours reefer hour counter makes if you drive max 55 hour per week or even wait with load? How many hours per year?
Is this warranty an aftermarket type contract ? I don't think a manufacturer would do an extended?
What is the best truck driving school to go to I need some advice could you please help me?
I definitely need info
Can we get From and To cities?
It will be awesome
You all are working men. Chasing your dreams..chasing the dollar..Hell yeah Brother..Beating the drums to your own tune..
I think I know this guy ✌🏽
Maybe cuz this was a year ago but….. WHERE THE F ARE U MAKING 7-12K in a week hauling reefers 🤥🤥🤥🤥🤥🤥🤥🤥🤥🤥🤥🤥🤥
Naw this is facts
hello cash is king how u doing
❤❤❤❤❤
Can I make any money with a smaller reefer box truck, maybe 16'?
A house is a LIABILITY, not an asset! Unless you purchase a home or small Apartment building which yields a positive cash flow every month he will be wasting his money! Also, you NEVER buy a truck ... you get a full maintenance lease and let the dealership deal with maintenance, 100 percent of your lease payments are a complete tax write off, every single mega carrier out there leases their trucks
Awesome interview. Thanks to you both. Love the video. Subscribe to both now.

I bet he puts out a lot

Question for everyone who is already trucking. I'm 26 years old I'm an electrician apprentice I'm on my second year of school but have about a year and a half working as one. I'm currently making $620 per week after taxes. Would I be making the right choice to leave? End goal will be owning my own truck. My brother is a trucker he says in August he's buying his truck. My basic question among many more questions is should I leave my job to join a trucking company that will pay for my cdl schooling?
Or should I pay for schooling on my own time b4 quitting my job? I have $10k my dad left us some money when he passed away from pancreatic cancer. I have to use it to pay about 6k in debt. But should I just save it or use it on cdl? My dad and my brother had always wanted me to be a trucker for the money but I never really liked driving in traffic but after he passed I took some time off and went on a few road trips and I was tired but the views and everything about it made me think more about it.
I was an electrician apprentice on my second year. My back went out and I went to an electrical supply house for work. Started talking to truckers and learned how much they made. I then went into sales to get truckers their DOT number and compliance/ permits etc. I left that even though I was making 1
8-12k a month. Now I’m driving in the oil fields making 2-5k a week. It was the best decision I ever made.
NO
Everyone making money in reefer cause rates are up.. so ya you can make money now..
How long would you think the market will be like this.?
I think forever..new world order
If I own a truck my goal is to clear $1 a mile in my pocket after ALL EXPENSES.
👍🏻
Quit saying brother so much 👍
You should interview his wife
