Another happy town full of car accidents and road rage. Fortunately I mastered the art of roundabouts and roadal engineering. They should hire me as mayor since I clearly have a deep understanding of mass chaos.

Tip: You can just click, hold, and drag one END of a motorway to move it to somewhere else instead of deleting a motorway to change it

I can attest to the fact you can jam a roundabout in this game. It's surprisingly easy to do.
Attach a highway to the north and south. Make certain to keep all traffic flowing requiring at least 180° to get to their desitnations. And early late game when traffic picks up the two highway traffic shoots into roundabout only to stop because of existing traffic moving slower. Then the traffic on the roundabout stops completely and you lose the game fairly quickly afterwards.
If he can do that while winning, I assure you he will

The cars have achieved the driver’s skill that allows them to phase through each other. You can get it too, if you have a good gaming chair.

Couple tips I’ve learned while playing
Diagonal roads will always consume less road pieces
Traffic lights are never worth it
You can’t connect highways directly to a roundabout but if you have a single road piece in between it works
Can we acknowledge how calm DF always sounds
You'll wanna avoid putting an intersection right at the end of a roundabout, because doing so makes the roundabout useless, you just shift the congestion to the side a bit
Tip, the houses don’t need roads connected to them, you can leave a house and you won’t lose but the businesses need to be connected, so if you need too you can get rid of a house from the road
Wow, I just started playing this game a week ago.
According to engineer, the best way of playing this game is to segregate; basically exclusive road for every color.
And according to gamers, you have to prevent the spawn of destination in "awkward" position by placing object on that.

You don't have to connect all houses (like the red ones you got annoyed by). Instead of humans needing to go buy food (they cant starve), in that world it's the stores that hires [available] humans to go get food (food outside the store's freezer expires). And it seems to be based on proximity, so the house with the shortest path to the store (and a free car) is used.
From what I gather from other videos the traffic lights are either useless (what most says), or serves to ensure a crossing doesn't have a long convoy forever block cars that want to get on the road (...which from what I understand can't happen as cars tend to weave, hence why the lights are called useless)
Put circles around small housing districts, and you want more bridges in hiking congestion areas.
Pretty much just for every building you'll need at least 1 bridge.
For some reason you have the odd ability to lower my anxiety, also I'm severely ADHD but your videos can hold my attention. Great content keep it up. BTW I literally woke up at 1:40 am just to watch this.
A: Nvr take traffic lights (even if they have a use, you wont figure it out and its limited as it gets)
B: Angles are much better than grids. (They save roads and are faster and make less intersections that way)
III: Drag the road to the middle of the roundabout to attach a road to it. Its counterintuitive but thats how it works. You shud be able to attach 8 roads to each roundabout (and it is always best to attach more roads to the roundabout rather than make them all connect before the roundabout)
4: Motorways are best if their entrances and exits arent placed directly on the main roads. You can just make a single road jut out one tile and place the entrance and exit for a motorway on that piece, which grtly improves traffic flow.
5: You dont actually have to attach every house to the roads. You can just leave the annoying houses out of the roads entirely if you alrdy have a couple houses for each square building (and like a half dozen houses per round building).
I’ve been watching df for a few months and he’s already my favorite CZcamsr :)

if you want to connect road to roundabout, drag the road toward the "center circle" of the roundabout then they will connect
This hurts, more than anything else DF has done, because I've seen most of these things in real life.
It's almost as if cites are planned by hundreds of different grad students who are each writing a different thesis on what the best theoretical road system would look like, each insisting on implementing their idea SOMEWHERE in the city solely to prove a point.
The moment it started, I thought, "I love this game!"

The thing you have to remember is that your job is not to connect houses but to get rid of the circles in shops. The houses can stay disconnected and not do shit.

Ah yes, i remember the neighbor city it was big and abundant in business, but unfortunately the city was removed because one business decided to screw around and place itself on a far away place and complain of not having many visitors it made the whole city close :v
You can connect the houses diagonally to the roads and it doesn't use up a road tile. So instead of doing a 90 degree angle, just drag the house diagonally onto the road. (as long as the house is 1 tile away).
Haven't seen the actual video yet but I'm excited to see how he does something insane.
if there are two houses next to each other and theres a road coming out of one of them you can diagonally attach the house with using a road tile. Also you can pause the game using the space bar or by clicking the clock in the corner and pressing pause. last thing, also jsut connect the roads more to other roads. ok bye absolutly LOVE your vids good job man.

Just a tip : Try avoiding crossroads (4 roads into eachother, even 3 is not that great), it may costs you more roads but it really helps circulation.

When a game df plays actually requires order
You can place Road pieces Dialognally on a 3×3 Grid to prevent any shop from spawning there. Most of the CZcamsrs use this simple trick and Calls it "Insanse ways"

[Note: there may be a very limited use case for them, but for the avg player theyre gonna screw you over by far; and regardless... A motorway or roundabout is always better as it has far more use. And bridges/tunnels are almost always a good idea to take over traffic lights anyways; as ya nvr kno when youll need one of those. So like, the only time it mite be worth taking is instd of taking 30 road tiles; but honeslty... more road tiles are better than traffic lights imo]

@@bioowl2893 That's my opinion and I don't want to cause a rage here, but I much prefer the way DangerouslyFunny edited his Stardew Valley videos from 2 years ago than how it is today. These sound effects make less sense on his channel than on Gray's channel. I think Dangerous's voice and way of making videos doesn't match the sound effects.
