Hi Myles Does the SDA believe that we have a spirit? According to my son who is now caught up in this group we have a soul and God braths His Spirit into us and when we die it leaves us. I know it is not true, but he is believing more and more SDA nonsense. He only wants to work for a SDA company, no other Christian company. He moves only in their circles. The analogy they will use is if you have a pile of nails and a pile of boards, you have those two things. But if you put the two together you get a box. The box only exists when the two come together. That’s supposed to be what the soul is. The breath and a body come together to form it and when the breath leaves the body at death, the soul ceases to exist.
