Check out the BRE (Back Road Equipment) Slider Rack. I have one on my KLR 650 and Vstrom 650. I plan on putting one on my new DR650. It uses a 4-puck keyhole design that makes it easy to mount and unmount your top box. The pucks can be installed on pretty much whatever you want, SKB case, milk crate, etc. Makes it easy to use the same top box on multiple bikes.
Great insights. Thanks for the video!
Thank you @mikhailyergan !
You don't look like you're in bad shape, a guy 6' tall could weigh 220 easy and still be in good shape. Everybody told me at 220-230 at 6'3" that I was skinny and needed to gain weight (unfortunately after injuries I did gain a bunch but...) . You can't let those people stop you from enjoying your life. I like the format you used and enjoyed the video. It seems with the set up you have, that you're into music and video already! So the only left is to put in the time and you have a good start on that too. Good luck, be safe and I hope everything goes well for you!
That's a great idea ! I'll check that out.
Different strokes for different folks I guess. You made it prettier not but it rides exactly the same IMO.
Tires, suspension, bars, foot pegs, 14 tooth front sprocket and seat are most important for most of us, those things make it better/nicer to ride.
Did you do the airbox mod as well as rejetting to go along with the Yoshy pipe? If not it makes a world of deference in the performance it really lets it breathe. Have fun..
Looks like the previous owner did the airbox mod but no jetting. I have the ProCycle jet kit in the box ready to go.
All you really need to do is Seat Concepts, tires, and Cogent suspension. Everything else is your personnel preference.
I got the polysport fender for my ‘93 DR250 and I’m going to get one for my 2011 KLR. I added a fork brace to the KLR and it got rid of the wobble at freeway speed as well as making it more stable in the dirt. I’m also looking at luggage racks for the DR250 and most of my searches come up with DR650 options. The DR250/350 options are few and far between.
I'd love to rebuild a DR250 one day. Those are sweet bikes!
@@tsdmoto I was lucky to find one in good shape. There are plenty of DR350’s around here which is basically the same bike bored and stroked differently with different jetting and gearing. I’m not sure if that’s in the transmission or just the chain drive. I’ll have to check the Clymer manual which seems the only reliable source of information for the 250.
DO IT , they are keepers!
Get the precision motorcycles tail rack. I love it and its pre drilled holes are rotopax compatible
