A LOT of people in this comments don't seem to understand how The Circus works, so let me remind you: games don't waste processing power simulating/rendering places that players aren't interacting with.
The Candy Canyon and everyone in it ceased to exist the moment the players left it. Gummigoo wasn't "sent home," he was deleted. If we see him again, it'll be a copy of his AI, but it won't be the same person. Just like an enemy in a game.
He's gone, and y'all need to accept that.
