Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R
Jiyuna's exaggerating about how you have to learn different combos for each character. You only to know all 6 different weight classes, different air hurt boxes for each character, different wake-up timings that change depending on if they're face up or face down and what the character had for lunch that day to get practical BnBs and oki in +R.
Once you get down the clean hit hitboxes, timing for dustloops, negative edge gun flame trick, FRC timing, Sol isn't too bad.
“Depth”
And also their pet´s name
Then for Jam only it also depends on which day of the week it is.
@@sanko111 depends on what she ate that day too Kappa
Guilty gear xx whatever its called is pretty fun.
Just say Guilty gear +R
I see what you did 😏
Which XX though? I have #Reload and Accent Core+
These be some good games but they don’t have very good names
Just to add to this: Warming up for 5-10 minutes in training mode before doing actual matches has significantly helped out my execution.
This is especially important for characters like I-No and Justice. Half circles are tight in this game and 5 minutes to warm up your hands can have a major effect on your neutral, hit confirms, combos, etc
Should do that in any game you play!
Whenever I'm about to play and I decide to warm up by doing tk Micheal Sword frc over and over I find I'm so much more consistent when I actually play
@@ANIMEILLUMINATI Anything you do*
For anyone absolutely new to gg or anime games/fgs/whatever:
If you don't wanna sit in training mode and practice character specific stuff all day just do some gatlings (button chains) into sweep (usually 2D). Getting consistent knockdowns is way more important and this works as every character against every character perfectly consistently.
This game is addicting. It's like a brand new game to me now
Yeah, I’ve been having a lot of fun even though it’s frustrating.
I genuinely thought Jiyuna was gonna say "Don't play this game Go play Melty"
Edit: 5:10 I'ma consider this a vouch for my comment, thank you.
Quick tip: don't lab when you first pick a character.
Go in training mode.
Press buttons for a little bit, feel out the specials and supers, learn a basic string with a knockdown if you like the character.
Go into matches.
No point in forcing yourself to learn a character (for 3 different weight classes and whatever the fuck the opponent's character's online gameplay will be that you sure won't learn from an old arcade bot) if you don't even know if you will enjoy the character's gameplay in real matches.
And try your best to go in expecting not to win, but to learn.
Yeah, learning a character is a commitment in this game.
You’re airthrowing a ton in this game because you’re playing Order-Sol. His jump is extremely low to the ground, so you’ll be in more situations where you can airthrow.
Remember: if you're playing Slayer, never block. It's disrespectful to all the Slayer mains
Pick your favorite music track and you will instantly play better.
I'm gonna give them the secret forbidden sauce: pick slayer, do 236D four times in a row.
Your profile picture convinces me that this is true
And here i thought that you only needed 3 tips to improve. 1. Zappa 2. Testament 3. Baiken.
Remember to put on mufflers when playing vs and with all sol variants
5 tips? Bro, I play Sol. I grand viper randomly and say gg.
Jiyuna: Use meter!
Robo-Ky players: you guys gets to gain meter?
The in-game tier list is accurate. If you are looking to play for fun with friends and want to rank the characters, the story mode and plot are very satisfying to learn more about characters. I love the idea Eddie is the black monster and Zatoichi is the human, and slayer is an overpowered vampire fighting Gears (half magic and half machine lifeforms) for fun.
If you're looking at learning more about this game I would highly reccomend joining the GG+R discord server, and checking out the wiki. The wiki has a lot of hard data for you to pour over, but the discord server has character channels with vets in each who have volunteered to be pinged for questions, there's a beginner's channel where you can ask basic questions about the game, and lots of matchmaking channels!
Great guide. Also, a great way to set an example for the FGC in making content during a pandemic, unlike those tier list bandits.
Also you can cheat labing by just saving the reply of a match, recording the situation you want to beat and send it to the ACPR discord and people will help you from there

Practiced Double Dustloop for 100 hours
That’s everyone on Twitter.
Quick addition to air throw, I always throw using a FD so that I don't whiff HS if the attempt fails.
I actually like this advice. Keep it simple stupid. If you start to become an intermediate/advanced level player, then you start learning that level of tech.
when i originally tried it out i was so confused and i mean i liked it but just couldnt think i could ever wrap my head around anything i mean a button layout that isnt exclusively punches and kicks just blew my mind, but just didnt have that hook yknow (i only really played third strike since my computer cant really run anything too new like sfv or xrd) so i dropped it for months but somehow got back into it because of strive videos and really truly enjoyed it, i mean i have fun with other fighting games but it just hit different with ac+r like i had genuine fun
also the netcode is really amazing i love it
your videos are also really enjoyable and really got me into guilty gear
thank you
gotta show how simple consistent combos become huge damage combos simply with cranked up risc
a dustloop bnb moves from 40 to 80 % real quick
I was mostly an XX player for years... That when I went to other games I was shocked I only had to practice 1 or 2 BnBs...
Blazblue does a good job of having somewhat consistent combos while still keeping the option for high level/execution stuff avaiable.
@@ANIMEILLUMINATI Yeah I enjoyed Blazblue's system when I tried it out, after a while I started getting used to only learning one midscreen combo and one corner combo, it was refreshing being able to get into any new arcsys game after that! Blazblue rollback when????
Your videos helped me a lot Jiyuna thanks for this, I've been practicing with Jam and settling her as my main and it's so frustrating dawg but she's too fun once I win once in a while! Also, the comments section helped out greatly 🔥
who needs a FRC when you can just spam Force Break and win a match?
I've discovered no one expects Rock It! to go so far and so fast
"There's no universal bnb's". Do not listen to this man's lies.
To this day ACR and 3S are my most played fighting games of all time. I've played ACR for at least 800 hours and 70% of it is just labbing. No game will ever have a more satisfying combo system, USF4 and MKX are just behind it imo. Also fuck all Baiken players.
I have 150 hours of playing this game and half of them were pure lab
Damn, Holy Order Jiyuna only 20yo
Oh hey the BGM is the theme for Castle Superbeast. Ya boi Woolie getting some rep
???
This is Slayer's Korean theme.
@@lzfsburner oh shit Id never actually heard Slayers korean theme. There's a podcast I listen to, Castle Superbeast, that uses this song as it's intro (of which 1/2 is Woolie Woolz who is/was a pretty prominent member of Quebecs FGC). I have a vague memory of him saying at one point that the intro song came from a scrapped project he was working on at some point, but i guess i misremembered
@@THeKallOfCtulu Most people know who Woolie is, don't worry. I mean there's a reason he's doing the sponsored GG Lore video man.
@@elneco4654 im honestly never sure how well known he is in FGC circles since he was mostly localized to the Quebec scene when he was most active in the FGC and as a TO rather than a player as well. And then he has like a decade of LP content as a degree of separation from then. He's a fairly big content creator, and been at it for awhile, but his popularity in the current FGC is hard for me to gauge.
just play justice and do f.S into michael sword and then nuke in between each time
Anti-airing with Grounded buttons feels harder in this than Xrd but Air throws as a solution definitely feeling better.
Meter is love. Meter is life
Meter is so crucial in this game.
Is it true that the mechanics in this game are so crazy that like normal humans can't play them anymore. It takes like 6 to 8 months to learn, you gotta fight top pros to get good?
Yes
Practive execution. inputs are way harder in AC
Give me input buffers.
praise be
Playing xrd training mode is actually great advice I just happened to do that since I already owned it and a lot of stuff does transfer
It will help with Strive, too!
Thanks for the content.
Godlike
I like your style Junior 👍🏽👏🏽
I found a universal BNB: P P P P
I wished throws weren't mapped to 6HS and was dust instead tbh
Striver!
Order Sol is so cool
GGXX Whatever It's Called players are always busy in Jiyuna's comments section huh?
Jiyuna ain't 20 that can't be true
heres my required tree post
How you change soundtrack to Korean version (alternate ver)?
There’s a mod somewhere on the steam forum.
@@ANIMEILLUMINATI I see, thnk jiyuna👍
I fucked up. I thought the netcode beta was going to end, so I didn't buy this game on the steam sale, I bought xrd. Xrd's tutorial was really good, but really all I can do is try characters and learn their special move inputs. I tried playing online and ranked mode just suggested matches with a shitty connection, and everyone in the public lobbies is too good for playing them to be productive. Real sad they delayed Strive, but if delaying it means the game will be awesome when it comes out, I'm looking forward to it.
I think about 99% of humanity knows that GG is a game that requires a lot of learning... always shocks me to see how redundant people are with exclaiming this fact. Maybe it's just a state of disbelief people have to keep facing in order to just admit that they like the fucking game lol
also you are wrong, jiyuna. GG is still not as hard as sf4
Turbo-scrub giving "tips" to new players. Bro... Stop playing HOS, you might actually learn this game instead of crying about how everything is OP or weird or whatever.
Come play me on stream.
