My channel generally focuses on a more casual side of speedruns. With these videos I want to show off cool speedruns, explain how they work, and entertain. Hopefully you enjoy the content and maybe even take up speedrunning yourself, because it is truly a lot of fun!
And yeah, today we're speedrunning phone minecraft (aka minecraft pocket edition or minecraft mobile), except it's on a ipad... Still phone minecraft in my imo. This is a game where you play minecraft on your phone. Yeah it is kinda one of the most frustrating experiences, especially since you have to use the most update version of 1.16, which heavily nerfs ender pearl drops. I did a bunch of speedruns of it got destroyed over and over. I also completed other runs and the save files got corrupted/didn't even save. Why me?
Also I'm gonna do this it helps I guess:

The reason why the Strongholds is so near to the spawn is because of the village, In both bedrock and pocket edition, Strongholds most of the time spawn below villages, weird world generation, ik

Fun fact: Minecraft PE removed PE from the home screen, name, and title screen, and it's actually bedrock without the bedrock

If every human on earth (9 billion people (Note: apparently it's actually roughly 8 billion, but my calculations were done with 9 billion)) would complete a full minecraft speedrun every single second (which is not possible, a mc-speedrun takes way longer), without pause, day and night, it would still take 35.5 thousand years to get one run that matches the odds of dream. That's about 1 trillion seconds for each human. Ten quintillion speedruns overall.
Ten quintillion is this number: 10.000.000.000.000.000.000.000
Dream did not play with a copy of minecraft, that had the same odds as all the others. It's different.

This man’s gameplay is like mine when it had been like two weeks since I got the game, except I just abandoned two world cuz I couldn’t find a fortress then accidentally deleted my creative world which I was actually having fun on then i got angwy and deleted both the other worlds
He really found a loophole around the Minecraft speedrun we’ve been requesting.

The stronghold spawned so close to spawn because, in Minecraft Bedrock edition, strongholds try to spawn under villages. Also, I suggest you switch your UI to classic. It is much easier to manage your inventory.
Strongholds always spawn very far away from spawn like 1000 blocks, ALWAYS, the reason it spawned close was that he was using a set seed, only set seeds spawn with a stronghold that close

To win PvP in PE Edition you need: Go to the options menu, go to touch and activate the "Split Controls" thing. And customize the button size, now you can PvP good.

Haha, I speedruned this seed many times. But 1.17 destroyed it because it spawned a amethyst geode in the portal room. But it was the best seed I know.
This game would be SO epic if they fixed the controls. Literally, just having a joystick movement instead of the d pad that you can't leave would be a game changer. Other things would be nice but the bare minimum is movement that doesn't end just because I jiggle my figure too much.....
Also a toggle sprint button instead of having to double tap the move button and custom controls
@@wen1985 when did they change it? I might try again if they made it better. The way it was before, like I said in my comment from a year ago, made it fucking impossible to enjoy the game 🤮
@since1876 They did, but they didn't improve it at all. They did add a joystick like you mentioned (barely helps but its better than a d-pad). The biggest problem with the controls is the lack of dedicated buttons for stuff (like dedicated combat buttons, like "throw potion" or "charge bow/crossbow", bc that 0.5 sec delay matters a shit ton in pvp, and basically makes anything not a melee weapon unusable).
PvP was and still is unplayable on touch controls due to this (I tell mobile players on my server that if you can't buy a controller, just don't even play our PvP modes since you'd stand no chance against even the worst keyboard or controller players). They did add what exactly what i've been talking about, but you're forced to play with split touch controls on (always have a crosshair like in all other controls), which is a horrible decision. Split touch is beyond more difficult than not, and having that enabled just makes what would've been the god-tier setup not worth it at all.
So for PvP you're either forced to have melee weapons be useless due to split touch controls, or have anything that's not a melee weapon useless because of no dedicated buttons. For regular play, you can get by with either setup, but that's not the case for anything competitive.
Also, minor nitpick, they for no reason moved the jump button to the top of the screen, and depending on your button size, it overlaps with the mob effects button. The amount of times i've died from accidentally hitting that is uncountable.
@@Budderman18 I might try it again. Haven't played it in forever. I never really play with other people so pvp stuff doesn't really matter. But that needing to press EXACTLY the movement button you wanted was disgusting. Whoever thought trying to do NES controls was a good idea needs to be fired. There's a reason no other phone games do that!

I once had a seed dogged straight down without even making a house there was diamonds below me under my feet and then I went caving for ten minutes found a stack of iron 40 diamonds some lapis and 6 emeralds

I bought the real game a few months ago on my phone the worlds not theire
I played PE way before getting Java edition and when I got Java, I was quite pleased with the controls. Moving your crosshair around to pvp or place blocks just feels a lot better on a mouse and it’s more efficient to organize your inventory.
I switched from BE to JE recently... boy I miss being able to place blocks in front of me :(

Speezy, here's some information about your run in case you were curious:
- It's actually somewhat common for strongholds (or "fortresses," as you called them) to generate underneath villages. Correct if I'm wrong, but I think it's about 20% on Bedrock edition. This is why some players choose to forgo using Ender Pearls all together and just try digging under villages.
- "The guy in the black shirt" is called a Piglin Brute. These guys don't trade and will attack on sight, regardless if you're wearing gold armor or not.
- You died to an Enderman. You must have looked at him, or perhaps angered him when he walked into your player-placed lava. You can see him angry at 8:46 moments before he kills you after you turn around, and you can also heard its "idle" sound after you die.
And, hey, your speedrun might not have been the greatest, and your trades were less than desirable, but at least your run was legit!
It's not a percentage chance for strongholds to spawn under villages, they spawn a certain amount a certain distance away from (0,0). They attempt to spawn under villages as long as they are in the designated range, and 99% of the time strongholds do.

He’s not, the IPad screen can’t fit properly in the thumbnail because the landscape is 1:33:1 on iPad (that’s why you see black bars on the side), he just made the screen fit so the hearts on top are not in the frame.

Finally someone talks about how terrible the aiming system is, I’ve seen pvp on there and it’s is hilariously bad
um well i have to disagree. Yes the majority of playerbase cant aim but some people have an advantage due to the fact that you dont need to look straight at someone when attacking. People utilise this to become quite good

There are two versions of PC Minecraft: Java and Bedrock.
Java is the original Minecraft and is basically only on PC. Bedrock is the version created by Microsoft after they purchased Minecraft that is on PC, Xbox, and mobile.
Minecraft: Pocket Edition (PE) is basically Bedrock adapted for mobile, but to distinguish it from the other two editions, it's called Minecraft PE.
