I think there was more emotion in Not Alike, but the technical assassination of Killshot is different.
Not Alike goes harder, Killshot goes more technically brilliant (which is tough to do). It's difficult to be angry at someone who's response was below the last diss you did.
Joe Budden hasn't inspired a song's worth of anger to catch the full wrath of Em and he knows it. That's why he's asking for a whole song.

Em and Royce grew up together in Detroit. They go way back and are real close. That's why he's often featured and they collab on albums. Not to mention Royce, like Em, is a lyrical machine
They did beef at some point, for years. But they made up, and released some of the greatest tracks we have heard in... i don't know how many years.
They didnt grow up together, they met later at some freestyle show, they hooked up afterwards and made bad meets evil

It started bc royces manager said in an interview that he personally witnessed em having to sit Dre down and school him on complex rhyme schemes like Dre was ems student. Dre wanted Royce to negate that comment but Royce refused to so Dre refused to sign him like he was supposed to. This was when Royce was ems hype man. After that Royce was on stage and threw some bars about aftermath and thats what started it all.

Em brought Royce Da 5'9 into when rap game when Em dropped his 1st album Slim Shadey LP and Royce was featured on Bad Meets Evil the song which was #20 on the album the Royce thought he was bigger than he was and did Em wrong and wrote a diss song on Em. They finally squashed it and that's when they did Bad Meets Evil the album.

Yeah EM actually had plans to do a CD with Royce a long time ago and if I remember right a couple members of D12 wasn't happy about it. I know after Royce dropped the diss song EM was more disappointed than angry and I don't think he responded but D12 did. I know it was on 1 of the BEEF DVD's back in the day. At the end of the day Royce fell off real quick and wasn't successful at all until EM brought him back on the Bad Meets Evil album and ever since then he's blown back up.
