The Clone War rages as the armies of the Republic battle the endless Separatist droid legions. The Jedi may fave finally met their match in the fearsome and merciless General Grievous. Countless Jedi have fallen to Grievous' blades but no matter how many Jedi he slaughters nothing can sate the cyborg's appetite for destruction...

I gotta say general grevious is probably one of the best non force wielding villains in the Star Wars universe

Grievous is the brawn, Thrawn is the brains. Imagine if they worked together. I just want to point out that Grievous is also a good general.
@@robertnelson9599 Grievous always had been a great General, he and the Separatists only loses because the writer were too afraid to have the Republic lose a lot. But I do agreed on him and Thrawn working together part.
Thrown and Grevious are great but thrawn has the brains

I guess you mean the kids TV series, as opposed to the 2 part cartoon? The cartoon Grevious was an absolute badass. TV series Grevious is a Scooby Doo villain.
To me I see Grievous being more badass in the Canon comic *Son of Dathomir* and *Kanan: The Last Padawan* better than what the show had did. Filoni barely did anything to save his character, he doesn't really see much in Grievous in his point of view but has the abilities to rigged his opportunity to kill Eeth Koth and humiliated him whenever he had his best moments. while outside the show Canon is slowly bringing Grievous to his former glory,
This is what his current backstory so far:
"Grievous formerly known as "Qymaen jai Sheelal", was a feared warlord and warrior from the planet Kalee. Grievous learned battle tactics and warfare during the Kalee's war against the Yam'rii of Huk, and eventually developed a personal vendetta against the Galactic Republic, as the government had supported the Yam'rii. At some point in his life, Grievous became a cyborg following a gruesome shuttle crash that almost killed him and destroyed most of his original body."
@@darthmaul8278 if only Filoni didn't struggles writing Grievous on his show, the writer has no clue what to do with Grievous, while comic made Filoni writing on Grievous look more embarrassing and did a better job.
but not only that but Shaak Ti was overshadowed by Ahsoka. Because we can't have two Togrutas Jedi running around playing hero.
@@cwylfre As long as TCW is canon it retcons a lot of legends' Grievous character traits and doesn't allow them to be introduced, unless they just say screw it and do it anyway. Would love that.
I enjoy the idea that grevious didn’t choose his cybernetics but was made to believe he wanted them through the mind manipulation he underwent after dooku found him
yeah, Legends Grievous is FAR superior to canon Grievous.
Actually Canon confirmed his backstory involved him in the shuttle crash in the book *Star Wars: A Galaxy at War* mention:
"At some point in his life, Grievous became a cyborg following a serious accident that destroyed most of his body and almost killed him."
Canon slowly bringing Grievous back to his former glory.
His backstory had nothing to do with him wanting to become a Force-sensitive or liking droid and cybernetic parts, this what his backstory so far:

ye ur wrong, he didnt choose even to be with dooku, dooku bombed his ship and made his cybernetics cause he wanted him to be general of the droid armies becuase he was a great warlord and a general, get ur facts straight or gtfo u ignorant low tier fan

@@vFuSiion I doubt it. I hope he will make an appearance in a future movie set during the clone wars (making Labyrinth of Evil a movie would be insane). Maybe like Vader or Tarkin in Rogue One. We might even see him in the Kenobi series in some form, or maybe we see his mask with Thrawn in the Ahsoka series as a reference at least, who knows.
*@vFuSionx-* I rather have a show that could fix *Filoni Wars* mistake and how poorly written they did with his character. I would love to see him as a main villain of one show, taken very serious, show how dangerous, what make him a threat to the Republic and show off his skilled in lightsaber combat. I don't like how Filoni doesn't see Grievous could truly take on a Jedi just because he doesn't wield the Force, yet had Pre Vizsla (who only know the basic of swinging a lightsaber) take on Obi-Wan and Ahsoka even making him hold his own in a fight but not with Grievous.
I'm just glad writer are slowly bringing in the real Grievous in Canon and comic writer too that truly understand Grievous. I still wanted to see him fight a group of skilled warrior like for example the "Nelvaanian" and other impressive moment.

You should check out his other appearance in comic like Kanan: The Last Padawan and Son of Dathomir both did a great job on Grievous.
Unlike the show that barely did anything to save his character, Grievous actually gotten a lot old references return in Canon.
For real I'm so glad to see Grievous getting some love in this comic. As much as I love TCW I agree they did him dirty especially having him getting captured by a bunch of gungans lead by Jar Jar

Well to be fair at least they're skilled warrior and not some drunken pirate who embarrassed Sidious by capturing his apprentice (Dooku) or that one time, Hondo had Maul force to flee on Florrum, when he shot him in the cybernetic leg, as he fell to the floor and continue to retreat.
Speaking of embarrassment, you know what funny is that Vader has joined Dooku, Maul and Grievous on the embarrassed moment, making these three prequel villain less embarrassing for them, in the Doctor Aphra comic, as you can see in this video:

Just to let you know that it had nothing to do with Vader being punished by Sidious but to show how brave and not so weak Dr Aphra is.
To be honest that scene made the Gungans scene less painful.. 😬
