Just rented a SL and my biggest concern is the brakes. I assume the reason they feel like hockey pucks is because Polaris didn't put the R&D into the traction control system. If they would actually brake hard it would probably get very unstable. I don't blame them, this is a risky investment from the company and the consumer and I praise them for doing it. I'll buy one :)
I rented one on turo with a buddy of mine. Drove from Houston to Austin and back. It shifted as smooth as my brothers Acura Integra (which I learned on). Not particularly fast, but you feel it because of how open you are. Driving by Semis will make you realize how little is between you and the road. The cops will mess with you and pull you over left and right. They assume you are driving too fast or recklessly. On a hill, if you are not careful there can be lots of tire squeel. Reminded me of my dad's old BMW three series.
I feel like the Polaris Slingshot is something an old guy buys because his wife wont let him get a bike but he still wants to be cool with the kids. Like why wouldn't you just buy a razor? Its basically the same experience but you can Jump it and go offroad.

I met a guy last summer who was towing a travel trailer behind a slingshot he had driven from northern British Columbia to the bottom of British Columbia on Vancouver Island
The speedo is actually the same in europe they just made it point mph in us but thats why its 220 cause its kmh probably wont go even that fast but at least closer to that

I am not going golfing or grocery shopping in this. I'm driving down Ocean Blvd and waiving at the ladies. Seriously though, I have a 2018 MX5 and it is the most fun I have ever had driving. This must be the same adrenaline rush. Good stuff.

It was a lot of fun though but my wife was embarrassed of how it looked and wouldn’t step foot near it. It was fun in the canyons. My only complaint besides not being able to split traffic with it was getting stuck in traffic on a hot summer day with no roof or AC. You get extremely hot wearing a helmet.
