I can't blame him for putting it on hold, the way they faked accounts could lead into Enron levels of lawsuits. There's a possibly advertisers were paying money to Twitter for accounts that didn't exist. Millions of fake engagements for real ad dollars, if I were an ad company I'd be suing.
I do not like his spiritual beliefs, but he is one of the best CEOs in the entire world. He hires the best and lets them go free to create new and better products. Micromanagement is not a method to management, in part, with creative genius. So many managers have a really poor ego problem.
Hire trustworthy people and give them responsibility and authority. Then stand back. Only step in if problems emerge.
