I love your review of all the scents. I totally agree the Utopia Vanilla Coco is a Fall scent. The florals are very thick to me in a beautiful way. I tried wearing it in warmer weather but it was a little to heavy for me
How fun Olivia, you got to meet her! 😍 Citrus is the only one I haven’t tried. Musk and Invite Only went back to the store. Not for me unfortunately… But I own all the other ones and love them so much. I’m always excited to see what she’ll bring us next! She is such a fantastic lady. I feel like she cares about her fans and I love how she’s really involved in the products she sells. She isn’t just a name put on a label. I got the travel size of Yum Pistachio and I think that’s the perfect size for me. I enjoy it and agree that it’s a spring scent and that it’s composition is great for spring weather. I also have the sample set. My favorite is Lovefest but I don’t know if it’s different enough from Dossier Ambery Cherry to warrant buying a bottle.

When I bought the little sample set and saw the notes for Amber 23 I was like, oh, that's going to be the one I hate. Guess which is the only Kayali fragrance in my collection. I will be getting more but that one was so good. So amazing. And I am like a right floral type girl and I was so excited to find something I could wear that's a little darker. My husband loved the Loveliest Buring Cherry and I'm going to get that one and do this combo.
Invite Only is absolutely my favourite! I hate that I only feel comfortable wearing it in colder weather but it is a special smell in my opinion. It lasts days on my coats/scarves.
I LOVE invite only. Every time I spray it I smell something different. I get tons of compliments on it also. Can’t wait to try layering with it

My favorite is Deja Vu. The jasmine comes out on my skin in such a lovely way, and the gardenia makes me so happy. I loved Lovefest, but then I tried Cherry Punk by Room 1015 and decided it was way more my thing, so I decluttered Lovefest. Beautiful palo santo note though!!

When i first tried the lovefest burning cherry on my skin it smelt like cough syrup so didn't really like it but after a few minutes when it dried down it gave out such an amazing scent, even my partner could smell it and liked it. Now i'm planning to buy a bigger bottle of it plus a bottle of utopia vanilla coco and eden juicy apple. Those are my favourites.

I adore Vanilla 28, it’s so strong and sexy! I feel the same about Vanilla Royale, very sweet patchouli, I get almost nauseous of it. I think it’s good for layering.

I 100% agree on Invite Only Amber being number one. I looove it, but goddammit if it doesn't last! 😢 the opening is spectacular, and I love it for about the first 20 to 30 minutes, and then it just completely disappears. I can catch a random whiff here and there, but not much more. If it had better staying-power, I'd be running for a full-size bottle.

I’m new to Kayali so one of my favs so far is to mix the pistachio with the vanilla 28 on top of the delicia bum bum cream. The latest bum bum cream is spicy so it just brings out the spiciness in the fragrances. Also i mix lovefest with vanilla 28 as well! Now with your suggestion im about to mix more!

I was not expecting to love Lovefest Burning Cherry, but it is so good I need a big bottle of it now! It’s so dark and woody but still super young and fruity smelling. It smells a little bit like cherry coke, and has a weirdly sophisticated but also punk vibe
Just ordered Musk from the Sephora sale. It’s my first Kayali purchase. Hoping to try Deja Vu and Sweet Diamond too.
Funny, I just ordered 2 duo 10ml from Kayali. So I"ll get 5ml of 4 different sents to get a better idea of how I'll like some of those fragrances (Musk, Vanilla and Vanilla Coco, Sweet Diamond). They'll come in handy this Summer if I travel.
Elixir 11 is my absolute favorite Kayali... then Pistachio Gelato... and the Cherry Lovefest & Sugared Patchoili are probably next. The only one I haven't tried is the Apple one, so I think Ima order a travel size today. But the rest didn't really do it for me - some I felt were too strong (reminding me of White Diamonds or something like that) or just being too generic, like I smelled at Bath and Body Works lol

I actually really love Yum Pistachio! but it took a week of usage for me to fall in love 😂 that being said, I wish it lasted longer on my skin.

Hear me out - I just blind ordered Kayali Eden Juicy Apple. So I don’t know what it smells like yet. BUT, I recently discovered that Herbal Essence brought back Rosehip shampoo. My early 2000s nostalgia came back and I fell in love. Someone said the shampoo smelled like Winter Candy Apple from Bath and Body Works…… which brought me to that rabbithole of Kayali Eden Juicy Apple being a dupe to the scent.
I THINK… everyone in the 90s-2000s are nostalgic for that Herbal Essence Rosehip/Garnier Apple shampoo. Its such an intoxicating clean shampoo sweet apple/rose scent.

I always wanted to try vanilla 28 but when I actually tried it, it was too sweet for me and I surprised myself by getting eden juicy apple. (it's juicy yet sophisticated and refreshing)
Vanilla coco was the perfect vanilla fragrance for me it had the perfect amount of sweetness and creamy notes.
And the amount of polarizing opinions on invite only I thought I would hate it but I enjoyed it Alot.
OMG!!!! Invite Only is indeed my #1. I’m so upset with myself because I only got a 1.7 ounce. Trust and believe my repurchase will be a 3 ounce. No need to play around.

I was told I smelled like a fancy coffee shop and a very darling senior lady said the scent reminded her of a vanilla cake she used to bake from scratch for her husband she misses very much. 🥺
Utopia vanilla coco 21 smells like Calvin Klein Obsession to me, with a simpler dry down.
My favourites are Royal Sugar Patchouli, Invite only Amber, Elixir and Citrus.
If you have BDK rouge smoking it pairs really well with Invite Only Amber. I find Rough Smoking too sweet for me, but the sour cherry in Invite Only Amber cuts the sweetness and I just love the combo. Also.. works really well with the DUA dupe of Rouge Smoking (She Loves Red).
My daughter got me the Kayali discovery set for my birthday last month. I haven’t had a chance to try them all. (I’ve been going decant and discovery set crazy. I probably have 20 to 30 decants that I’ve ordered or were given to me.)
Musk 12. Hard pass. It didn’t work with my chemistry.
Vanilla 28. Pass. This doesn’t work well with my chemistry, either. The musk or patchouli “stink” takes forever to settle down. I think it takes eight or more hours for the “stink” to go away. The scent lasts forever. If this works with your chemistry, this is a winner.
Love fest Burning Cherry 48 smells good. I just wish it lasted longer.
Eden Juicy Apple 1 is AMAZING! I think this is one of the sexiest perfumes. I couldn’t stop smelling my own arm. So good!
My layering combo is Atelier Cologne’s Vanille Insensee and Guess Seductive Red for Women. (I’m going to try Vanilla 28 with Seductive Red to see if it tones the “stink” down.)

Love fest burning cherry was my first purchase I am going to get the Pistachio….idk about the vanilla..as I’m really really upset with how bad the staying power is 😢and it doesn’t project!? So she pops them out ….but the quality could be better super bummed
The only Kayali I love is Lovefest. I’m a cherry perfume freak.

I can understand why people would be irritated by an expensive (for most people-let’s be real, it’s not normal to drop $100+ on a perfume for most peoples’ budgets) fragrance smelling like something cheaper or not quite living up to the notes. I do, however, also believe that there was a bandwagon of hate. Kinda like when Subculture launched and everyone lost their minds. The experience with any product will always highly subjective and that’s okay.
Personally, I’m on the fence about Kayali. I want to try out the brand, but I want to sample everything first so I can make one purchase. Unfortunately, all of the samples are not available and seem to never be available at the same time. That’s my biggest gripe.😅

I really like them together but I also love them on their own.
I’m getting vanilla and yum next but I’m unsure about buying yum just because of the controversy surrounding it.
I brought Eden and didn’t really like it much so I gave it to my cousin.
It was too girly for me, I like more deep, boozy perfumes.

eden, deja vu and musk are my favs. vanilla 28 kinda smells like a grandmas old church coat to me for some reason... but i do keep it to take that edge off perfumes that are too sweet
I feel like my nose is broken, I haven't found a kayali perfume that I actually like and since they are so loved by so many people it makes me think if I'm the one missing something 🤔
I don't know that you are--there seems to be a lot of hype surrounding the brand. The bottles are cute, the PR is bountiful, and their social media presence is vast. With something so subjective as scent, it's easier for companies to get away with shaky quality control--especially in the day and age of social media and, consequently, increased FOMO. There is the argument that scents need to macerate before they can be appreciated, but I personally feel like if I'm spending upwards of $100 on a product, I want it to perform now. However, I also feel like that argument is an excuse for companies to put out shite and have people forget about it by the time the next seasonal releases start to roll around.
I used to feel like I was missing something about many youtube hyped fragrances, but honestly, either a lot of them just smell so similar and have different marketing or on the opposite end of the spectrum, people pick up one or two notes and swear everything smells like it (ie: BR540 and Delina). If you read this whole reply, you are a real one.xD

I don't like to smell like everyone else but sometimes I feel the "need" of an easy grab which is easier to find in designers hence the kayali perfume videos.
I did experience a few perfumes that initially had poor performance and after a few months became super strong i. e. Chanel allure sensuelle etc, not sure if the maceration is applied to all fragrances but with a few it actually did, but I get you, we shouldn't have to wait to appreciate the full potential of a new purchase.
And yessssss I hear you regarding br540 and Delina. They became so incredibly popular that if im spending that amount i definitely want something unique that will have people wondering instead of rolling their eyes and mumbling something like "arfff another one smelling br540" and you're also right after a perfume gets hyped other brands end up making similar scents (Delina=angel nova=very good girl etc etc)
In reality we don't even need half the perfumes we've been accumulating throughout the years, I remember my early teenage years that I only wore one perfume until it was finished, and only then I was allowed another one 😂 good old time now we have 100+ but still on the hunt of the "holy grail"

I know some fragrances really do transform over time, but if they carry a certain price tag, they should perform out the gate and get better with time the way that a lot of older fragrances used to (Like the originals of Dior Poison, Alien, and a variety of Montale and Mancera fragrances). The expectations of performance seem to be decreasing while the prices are increasing.
You're right--designers as well as niche brands do tend to bring a lot more smooth complexity that you don't really have to think too hard about.
I can 100% relate about having so many perfumes as compaired to teen years. My story is pretty much the same and on special occasions, my mom would let me have a spray or two of hers. Nothing crazy.xD
Luckily, I'm not looking for a holy grail/signature, or anything specific--I just like to layer scents and smell good in different ways depending on my mood, the season, and the occasion.
I'm kind of looking forward to some of the fragrance hype dying down so brands start putting more effort into what they choose to put out.🥴

I'm obsessed with Yum Pistachio Gelato, smells just like pistachio gelato you can get in Italy - not artificial and not sickly sweet! Also the lasting power is very good, I can smell it for solid 8 hours, it lasts for eternity on clothes ;)
