That was always my favorite way of assembling items, by stacking them like that, It's a quick method and uses minimal equipment, Great tutorial.
Assembling them in the workshop, I had vertical and horizontal lines marked on the walls so would just use a straight edge and /or square to align them to the the wall marks

I think both of our work styles are the same. Some times, to avoid the video length short, i purposely minimize the work procedure. Thank you very much for your great observations and comments.

I had a no 5 record vise in a pipe stand to fit small inch fittings . Would fit the flange of the branch of the Tee first. put the tee in the vise branch facing up .eye ball level the tee, then place steel banding on the face of the branch, after place tee on top of banding on top of branch using 2 squares, square the flange to the tee then tack . this was then welded if there was lots of the same, after then put tee with flange in vertical position in vise with tee run facing up repeat 2 holing flange and squaring flange to flange . flip repeat
