Rated # 1 by TripAdvisor.com of things to do in Roatan. My wife, teenage daughter and I absolutely LOVED our day at LFK - snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding, lounge chairs, bar, restaurant, wild animals (monkeys, jaguar, lion, parrots, etc.) and of course a picture-perfect tropical beach! You can pose for your picture with Simba, a jaguar. This video is of him swimming back to his enclosure.
Book directly at www.littlefrenchkey.com. A fantastic day trip when cruising. LFK staff will pick you up outside of the port gates at Mahogany Bay, Roatan. You'll board their bus for a short trip to their island. You can come back to the port at any time. Their shuttle service runs continuously to make sure you get back to your ship on time. The Lahijani Family (LFK owners) are very hospitable. We have traveled all over the world and LFK is in the top 10 places we'd love to go back to!

They are wild animals with emotions and a soul. This is NOT how a poor animal like this should live, on chains. Makes me so sad. I guess it means at least he won't be hunted and killed by other disgusting humans.
Ahh i did this! His name is Simba, right? The jaguar? SO CUTE.
Honestly his fur wasn't as soft as i expected, though, but it was still one of the most awesome and memorable moments of my little life. :)

What a gorgeous, healthy looking animal! He's a magnificent creature, and a very good swimmer and diver, too!

Day Package booked directly with Little French Key on their website. We were on a cruise. Got a discounted price compared to booking it through the cruise. Had to pick up LFK's shuttle outside the gate of the port, instead of immediately when you walk off the ship. But tons of other people were also walking directly out of the port gate to board shuttles to various day trip's. Good luck. LFK is an incredible place!
The jaguar is too big now so they don't allow swimming with him anymore but the whole experience at LFK was amazing! Highly recommend it! One day was not enough. We were just there last week, Feb 1.
NO! Don't tell me that. We are going in a week and are waiting to hear back to book this trip from our cruise day there. Pleease tell me they have another jaguar now! :-) :(
I will admit im cross fillings its sad that animals are treated so poorly but at same time im excited to go to this island in august and hope to swim with him while im there hope this doesnt make me a bad person
It dosn't make you a bad person, but we can all learn from our mistakes.

These animals are stolen from their parents who are often killed in order to be taken, they are then trained mercifully to do and act a certain way. Do you think this jaguar wnats to swim with a chain around its neck every day? Take this VIDEO DOWN. Stop sharing this kind of cruelty. THINK BEFORE YOU ACT.
Do Not visit this place. You see the Jaguar has had its teeth and claws removed. Probably not done by a vetinary surgeon. You must also report this video stating Animal Abuse.

Terrible and classic example of animal exploitation. If you travel and come across animals being kept in captivity and treated inhumanely as a form of entertainment for tourists, PLEASE do not contribute to the issue by paying to support this. If you love these magnificent animals then you will not pay their keepers and contribute to the continued abuse. I understand the draw and the excitement of this "once in a lifetime" experience, but keep in mind the ramifications of your actions.

I highly doubt you are this concerned about the high homeless rate in America or whatever you may reside. Obviously the animals are ok. You people love animals more than humans that may not look like you.
@roz doreman please educate yourself before making shameful statements like this. Wildlife are only in harm because of the humans who insert themselves where they do not belong. We need to leave them be and support the conservation efforts of those trying to protect them.

Absolutely, atrocious! How could anyone be so naïve to support a wild animal being used only for greed! Is it that important for you to have a photo of a wild animal displaced out of its own free will in a greedy tourist industry!!! What has our society become - shameful!!!
