Love this series Alvin! Keep it up!!
Thank you so much you're bringing out cuisine that's underrated.
You’re the best Alvin ❤️
Hi! Alvin can u please a video of a day in life of Pakistani chef. We would love to see that.
When the people making the food spend 80% of their time laughing, you know that food is gonna smack
FACTS
Yes!!
Verstaan jy!!
Real bro
i love how they just kept feeding Alvin. his little “for me?” was so cute everytime
It’s literally my favorite thing
It never gets old!
saaaaame
is it for me 🥺👉👈
Also chef said she hadn't ate all day but still offered food to Alvin. Such a pure heart. ❤❤❤
As a Ghanaian I'm so glad to see this video and have people learn more about our cuisine.
It reminded me so much of when my mom cooks food. She does everything by feeling and that's definitely what the chef was doing in this video
Words cannot explain how much I love and appreciate the diversity in this series. Most food channels that are based on cultural cuisines skip African country's cuisine. I love this channel❤
Chef Jemimah! Please don’t skip meals take care of yourself! It’s okay to take breaks!
Yes
Alvin gets more and more precious with each video.
Also, thank you getting a spotlight on Ghanian food!!!
it's spelt Ghanaian! you're welcome lol
The hospitality is immaculate. I just feel so hugged by watching them cook and offer the food to you
As a Ghanaian I wasn't expecting this, I'm always expecting your videos on Saturdays and I wasn't prepared, thank you for showing Ghanaian cuisine 💗💗💗
This video randomly inspired me to learn more about African culture at 3 in the morning
I'm Nigerian and I I truly appreciate this episode. West African / African foods are so under represented in food youtube channels but I am glad to see you guys are exploring the diverse world of food!
"Half of this thing is seasoning." "Yes!"
I love it! The food looks amazing and Chef Jemimah has such a soothing voice. She reminds me of one of my aunties.
When I first went to Ghana, I absolutely fell in love with the cuisine. Everyone will something for themselves, whether they're a meat lover or vegetarian. I'm so happy to see this episode! The whole series is just so wholesome and sweet ❤️
"When I first went to Ghana..." same sis! I went to Ghana and had to back! You can't ever go just the one time, such an amazing country, immaculate vibes and friendly people!
@@infringedblue I agree! Next month I'm going for the 4th time and I know already it won't be the last time
That fufu looks so smooth I almost want to know it's skin care regimen lol But like everything looks so good especially that jollof rice
Ghanaian food is colorful and looks so good, I bet it's flavorful too. 😋I see so many different culture on this channel. Really worth subscribing to. 👍💖
I am Ghanaian and I am proud that you guys are showing Ghanaian related contents ❤️❤️❤️❤️🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭
This is my fave episode of About to EAT so far. Please do a Jamaican restaurant next!!!!!!
YES!!!
Alvin was very well fed this day!
I just love this series.
I haven’t had egusi and fufu in years and the final shot of the plate hit different. 🤤 Watching everyone take turns making the fufu was cool too!
I really appreciate Alvin's openness and curiosity about cuisines of all types - this series is such a respectful nod to those who have worked so hard to sustain themselves in the industry through their love of food. And I love how warm and friendly the aunties were in this video! You can really feel the love in that kitchen.
Best Series on the channel! I love seeing the people making the food. It shows how much hard work, dedication, and love goes into it.
So people be NICE to the food workers!
They literally gave you full course African cuisine stapes through the day lol
Most wholesome video to date. Not just the chef and the video but also the comment section. This whole series has really showed us that food is a universal language that all can appreciate and understand.
Much respect Alvin!! Dude has so much excitement about all the dishes! He needs to find a Jamaican place soon!
Feels like the name comes across as more "Behold! Africa!" with lots of implied joy and bombast. Definitely felt that from the chef and staff, too.
Man you can FEEL the LOVE they put into their food, looks so flavourful too- I imagine eating it's like getting a hug
I work in an area with a large population of Ghanaians. Our families are so generous and have shared their cuisine with me. I can't wait to go here and try new things. I miss Joloff!
Thank you for showcasing Africa! We have to continue to share the story of black cuisine on popular channels. Please do more and thank you for doing this!
İ like how she was honest like, 'I wanna go home'
As a Ghanaian it makes me so happy seeing this! Waakye is my favourite meal of all time! Especially when you get street waakye
I had a Ghanaian roommate and friends when I worked abroad. They spent so much time prepping and cooking the meals, and you could really taste the love that went into all of it. (Their chicken tomato stew was particularly drool worthy.) Damn, I miss that food!
Thank you is the only word that comes to my mind when I see each episode of this series. This makes me realise how much effort , love and care chefs and their team put up in order to feed us irrespective of the culture and the dishes each chef cooks. Thank you for this series Alvin and Team.
❤️❤️❤️
This series really hits the right notes, from the endearing host to the feature of unique or underrepresented chefs, cuisine, people and places. Thank you for being so thoughtful and putting together high-quality, meaningful content.
God I love this series, honestly Alvin thank you so much for this series
I love how you're respectful to each culture, i hope in the future you could explore the north african food 🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿
I live for this "day in the life" series
Could we fundraise for their printer maybe~?
I haven’t seen Ghanaian good represented like this before. I’m speechless. I’m crying. Thank you💕
I love that throughout the whole day they kept feeding you. Its so sweet lol
I love the laughter in that little restaurant.
You know its authentic when the chefs don't use a cutting board for the vegetables lol. this is so heartwarming and necessary, thank you for highlighting Ghanian culture!
I'm Nigerian and I was super excited watching this episode about West African cuisine.
This was awesome! Thank you for exploring African cuisines, not many people do. I'm from Togo, on the eastern border of Ghana, so we share a lot of the same foods. I hope you liked it!!!
As a west African, I'm glad to see our delicacies making it's way to A.T.E 🥰
I adore these mini-docs, Alvin! Thanks for the whole team coming together to make them happen.
These ladies sound so lovely. And in all honesty, I would try everything on that menu. African and Caribbean food is not too far off from Central American food
I'm always really humbled by the production of this show. This team should be incredibly proud of their authenticity, storytelling, and commitment to representation. Well done.
We must protect Alvin at all costs, such a pure soul :3
Jollof is hands down one of the best dishes ever!!!🌻🌻❤️
I honestly don't know a lot about African cuisine, I know a lot of East-Asian, South Asian, some South-East Asian, Australian (both our cultural foods and our First Nations foods but not by a lot), European food, American food. But not African food. It's really cool that you've decided to film this and I hope we see other African countries food here too. Would love to learn about that!
This was comforting! I’m Liberian American and away from my mom’s cooking. I like seeing West African cultures celebrated
the amount of food they gave to him. such a warm environment over there i like it
Loved the comradery! And how they just kept feeding him! That "Don't cry"! It made me cry with laughter!

This is so cool! I moved to Ghana ten weeks ago, coming from Switzerland. Seeing you not overlook this country and continent as whole feels very good. Keep it going, showing trough this medium of yours how diverse and special African cuisine is!
i hope they make more of this series!
This was so nostalgic for me!! My moms side of the family is Ghanaian so this just brought back memories of my childhood foods. Thank you for sharing a side west African cuisine with your audience!

This video really felt like a hug. 💓🥺🥺
I absolutely love learning about new cultures (especially their foods, of course)! I only wish I was closer to such diverse restaurant culture - I guess this is why I learn and cook a lot! Thanks for the great content, Alvin and the A.T.E. team!!
