@WORKOHOLIC SN Salary you mentioned is for per annum for PSU but for lawyers who are amongst top are charging 12-15 times as compared to psu. The median salary of PSU is 12-15 and moreover they are less in number,not more than 1000 vacancies for all vacancies. Of course some are getting more and some top most lawyers were who charge a penny for most social causes. There is no limit of fee that can be charged,not any case that they could get.

I didnot find any awesome argument being advanced by Mr Sibbal but the argument being advanced by his counterpart seemed more better.
At least he is far better educated than many others in politics and arguing on important matter in Apex Court.

I had high regards for Kapil Sibal till this moment. But looking at the fact that he is not arguing in favor of the privacy policy for the users he has lost all my respect. If the users in European union are enjoying higher privacy rights then why not in India where the number of subscribers are so high.
Also please understand he has to present the case of the WhatsApp.
For an advocate protecting his client's interest is his Dharma. If he doesn't, he is himself guilty of professional misconduct. So restore your Trust.

Right to Privacy cannot be violated unless there is a clear cut proof that the person /s concerned have been violating the facility provided by the platform. Hence seeking a judicial intervention may not be a bad idea if there is a violation of the said person/s privacy. It cannot be a blanket law. Govt. Of the day will have to offer adequate proof to necessisate such a violation.

Indian highest judiciary needs to learn how to function properly... It's good that this kind of low grade system is made public and open to public criticism

Though the ultimate outcome of this case has to be protection of the right to privacy and WhatsApp's compliant with the local norms, attacking Mr. Sibal for defending his client is unreasonable. When the leverage of a case is against the defense, it's the professional obligation of the counsel to argue his/her client's case with full conviction and determination so as to minimize the adverse impact of a prospective order on the client. That's what Mr. Sibal is doing for WhatsApp. Lame criticism of him is the same as criticising the great Ram Jethmalani for defending criminals 'tagged' by the society. We must understand that every professional conduct cannot be moral.
There is no compulsion to take up a case on behalf of a huge multinational against the declared policy of protection of privacy and unfair policy of Whatapp

If whatsapp had a privacy policy .Facebook on taking over whatsapp has to comply withnthe privacy policy too as its subscribers enjoy the right as whatsapp and its policies when they subscribed it. Facebook cannot merge the policies or to put it precisely merely by taking over if the subscribers are deprived of privacy which they relied on for utilising. This implies provide the masses and make them subscribe. Once it has enough subscribers sell it to some other platform which did not enjoy the same confidence . The importance of terms offered for acceptance have to be mantained irrespective of the corp status .

The title of the vifeo should be "Bakwas arguments by Kapil Sibbal". Whats is awesome about these arguments. Making observation that have no relation with the present matter. Firstly this argument is unmaintainable that compromising privacy leads to investment. Secondly, even if we assume it was maintainable, what should be do?
