- Have you ever wondered how our fiberglass pools are made? In this reboot of our 8-part series, How Fiberglass Pools Are Made, we're going to tackle that very question from our new manufacturing plant! This is Episode 1: The Mold!
Fiberglass pools are made from a mold. The mold is produced from a pattern, or replica, of the pool that is designed. The quality of the mold is determined by three factors:
1. The mold must be made true and level, never more than 1/8" out of level
2. The mold be properly reinforced with steel to sustain movement around the plant
3. The mold must be well maintained with a smooth, sleek surface
In this video, we will also answer questions like:
