- If you have a circle punch and some decorative paper, you have all you need to make these really interesting-looking journal cards and tags. It’s a fascinating use of negative space and the vibe can change dramatically based on whatever style of paper you choose to use.

This is a great idea of using all the paper. I'm always saving paper that wasn't punched saying I'll use it in another project. Sometimes I do.😊
Wonderful retro looking technique. Thank you. Blessings 🤗🌹
What an easy and fun project, thanks for the creative spark.
These are very eye catching! I do like the light green one. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Anne. I love these. They just appeal to my need for balance. I giggled when you said, "its slip is showing". Not many of us can remember slips. LOL. Thanks for a great video demo. ❤ 🇨🇦 😊
Brenda, I must tell you, as soon as those words came out of my mouth, I thought the same thing - who wears slips anymore? Nobody, including us, for many years! But I certainly remember them! Thanks for watching!
@@annekenlon reme, ber slips and static cling-- the thought stiĺ makes me shudder. I do not miss them at all. ❤️
I am so glad I have come upon your You tube videos!!!! Another great idea. Have a great day

I made these with glittery snowflake paper and greeting cards. Absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for the how-to.
How stunning, Rachel! I may save that idea and use it for Christmas cards, making a sort of ornament motif out of the circles. Thanks for the idea! And thanks for watching!
Great stash busting idea since I save my negative space papers! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much for watching! Yes, those negative-space papers have a lot to offer, don't they! Plus, they train us to think in new and creative ways. Happy crafting to you!

Thank you so much! Have fun punching circles!
Hi Anne! These are so sweet! I love them! I got some circle punches, but I also got some square punches that I think would be fantastic for this project too! I'm going to have to try it out!! Thanks for another great idea! 🤗💖
Great idea!! Now I want to experiment with different shaped punches, too - thanks for the inspiration! And thanks for watching!
Absolutely stunning! And very clever.☺
Many thanks, Irina, I appreciate your watching!
Very cute! Really want to make a whole bunch of these!
And so you shall! I kept making more, too. Thanks for watching, Nadyne!
Circles are my favorite shape so I'll be pulling out papers on my next day off. I, too, am OCD when it comes to balancing designs, squaring them up, erasing pencil marks, etc.😉 Thanks for the inspiring demo.
Thank you so much, Lucy! I'm honored this idea will be part of your day off! Happy crafting, I know yours will be great.
Goodmorning Anne!! Yes exactly what to do w all that punched paper?! I usually think stencil if possible, but this idea is fabulous!!❤❤❤
Thank you so much, Shawn! So happy this is something that might work for you!

Thank you, Teresa! Have fun making yours - they'll be great!
A piece of lace on the left side of the one with the green background would be pretty
Oh, wow, it really would! I may go back and add that! Thanks, Angie!
Thus is cool! Thanks for sharing. I am working on a journal, keeping the "scraps" and many are big enough to make these! Great to put in the pockets!
So glad this clicked with you, Angie, thanks so much for letting me know! Yes, the nice thing about saving scraps to decorate as we go is that we can spread a cohesive look throughout the journal. Those finishing touches can make a world of difference. I appreciate your watching!
Great demonstration and project❤
Thank you so very much - I'm really glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you, Valerie!
Do you have favorite circle punches? I'm trying to decide before investing. Thank you!
Hi, Melany! My large punches are Stampin' Up products - I bought the 2" and 1 3/4" circle punches years ago. They are pricey but the quality is very good. My others (1" and 3/4" inch) are thrift store finds. The 1" is from Stampin' Up and I think the 3/4" one is from EK Success, another good brand. I like all of them. I think EK Success is pretty easily available on Amazon and Simon Says Stamp. I was really lucky to find it in the thrift store. It's easy to pick up disappointing punches getting them used, and I've made a few bum purchases that I shouldn't have.
@@annekenlon thank you! That helps!
I'm sincerely impressed-kudos to you!🍅🏟🥍🍡🍡🍡🌹🌹
Thank you! Cheers!
