- In a house nestled in the maple woods of rural Japan, lives a little girl with a wonderful talent for folding paper cranes. However, her single mother isn't able to nurture her playful spirit and the two have become distant. After breaking the treasured teacup on her father's altar while playing with her newest crane, the girl's relationship with her mother takes a turn for the worst and she runs away into the woods.

As the compositor, I can say I've probably watched this film more times than any other person on earth and even on my dozenth watch I still truly love the hardwork and magic everyone put into it. Love you Majestea Studios!!!

This shows to me that, even though it is necessary, grief could make you push away from the ones you love and support you. Even if it also brought you closer to them.
Grief can be a slippery slope towards loosing yourself for something/someone you’ve lost.

Very beautifully done and the storyline was right to the point. Grief can definitely turn you into a monster if we don't channel our emotions correctly. The little girl was going in on her dads little spot though. Overall mom and daughter both learned some valuable lessons. Blessings ❤

The Girl didn't mean to knock over the cup
It must have been really hard for that little girl having a single parent! I felt the same way because my mother died on st. Patty's Day! But as much as I love my father I wanted to be with my sister most of all! My older sister has always been like a second mother to me! What the problem is she didn't want me around! And all I ever wanted was to be with her! But there are sometimes I want too much but I just couldn't help it I just want redemption for Disney a new kitty as a pet and for me to become a cartoon animation director! I've been wanting to become a cartoon creator for Cartoon Network ever since I was a little girl! And sometimes I wish I can make my own animated series for my favorite Disney characters on Disney channel! I guess my dreams are just as big as the planet Jupiter itself!😢
