Glad Martin Clunes rethought accepting a role as a detective. That role broadens his range. Fine actor.
Manhunt is a really, really, really good drama. Casting Martin Clunes in the lead role was the best idea because it gives the character an edge, a sort of imbalance and shows Martin Clunes for what he really is: a great actor.
Philippa Braithwaite has come out as a natural in this crime drama and I hope she won't stop there. Comedy is her forté but Manhunt might well be a stepping stone to a new angle of her career. Let's hope she does it again.
As for the rest of the cast and the drama in particular, let's just say it is gripping, keeps you on the edge of your seat and it is fascinating both for the story in itself and for the depth of the characters.

Wow so many parts to put together to make something creative to tell a story respectfully. Looking forward to see this. Just to see Martin’s versatility. Beautiful couple working together for each other just incredible!!❤
Just finished watching the series, and I really enjoyed it. Martin is believable as a Met copper, and though condensed for story telling, the pace isn’t overly frantic. I look forward to watching it again soon.

I love Martin Clunes. He and Phillipa do brilliant work together. Wish Doc Martin could go on for a lot longer. Love the characters and Carolyn Catz is a brilliant actor as well. Love Doc Martin and the cast.

I have gotten addicted to this actor's series. I watched Doc Martin's series until I finish everyone, and every time it's on Pluto TV. I'm currently watching Arthur and Gerorge on Masterpiece.

I don't like detective stories or murder mysteries, but I love Martin Clunes. He is such a brilliant actor and nice person. He has such a wide range of skills.
It must be a British thing.. the love of detective stories and Scotland yard and murder mysteries and such. As huge of a fan of the Doc Martin series as I am, I can't find anything about Manhunt that interests me at all. I wonder why that is. I was so bored watching Manhunt that I canceled Acorn TV. (Acorn TV seems to be 90% detective stories made for a British audience) Please make more comedies like Doc Martin instead!
