    This man has heart. Even after an injury like that one, he came back to try and play with the same explosiveness. This season he would've been in his prime and one of the top players in the league. Probably even the top. I don't think he would've gotten the ring in 12 but he would've had it somewhere in 13-16. Maybe even 12. Derrick Rose just has so much heart for the game of ball. I hate on how people are hating on him because he gets injured a lot. He gets injured because he has heart and puts in effort. Maximum amount of effort. "like I said. I could tear it 10 more times. As long as I'm giving it my all "
    Derrick Rose.
    I salute to you.

      PaperScrubs ACL tear is very common among basketball players, thousands have re gained successful career after recovering from this, so i wouldn't emphasise on how terrible it was with D Rose and how heroically he managed to return etc. The fact he missed out a lot of his career and arguably become not as good as he was, thats different aspect

    • @Futballr420
      @Futballr420 Před 7 lety

      PaperScrubs no way he was stopping Lebron. But damn it would've been a great ECF! Prime rose is a top 3 player in the league easily.

    • @Futballr420
      @Futballr420 Před 7 lety

      britiw yeah is common but what's also common is you don't come back as the same player. You lost your explosiveness if not a lot by a little. For a player like rose he relies on his athleticism a little is a big deal. Even if he didn't rely on it that much a losing a little bit of explosiveness at the highest level is a big deal. Unless you're just a freak of nature like Adrian Peterson an ACL injury is a big deal. You sound like a dumbass. Stfu now clown.

      Max Allesch I agree he is an inspiration because he worked non-stop to come back and now people make jokes about him but I bet if he never hurt himself people would be defending him, just goes to show that people bandwagon. He is still my favorite player, and the Bulls are my favorite team I don't like the team just because he is on the team. I am still confident that one day he'll be able to return to his MVP level. Even of he doesn't he will always be my favorite player because he is the reason I keep playing basketball because he inspired me to keep trying no matter what happens.

      In football we call that joga bonito or just street football, its a style many players from the streets have, a style based on amaazing technique, flair, agility, creativity and very spectacular.
      And street players have that because playing in the streets in small space, with grown men since you are a kid developpe these quality. Look at Ronaldinho, Neymar, R9, Ronaldo, Ben Arfa, pogba, Robinho, Dembele, Mahrez or Mbappe if you want to see street football.

    13:15 to 22:15 were all from a single playoff season. That's unreal!!!! That facial dunk over Joel Anthony, one-handed tomahawk vs. Knicks, clutch stepback jumper vs. Bucks, spinmove over Tyler Hansbrough and that fastbreak with wade and lebron defending were my faves. This guy is an inspiration seeing how tough his life was growing up and all these injuries and pressure from representing his own city-- wishing him nothing but the best.
    Thank you for this highlights!

  • @nikeettg5613
    @nikeettg5613 Před 9 lety +102

    My nigga D Rose the greatest all around pg ever imo. When he fully healthy and not rusty (mvp form) it's no question that he can do everything there is to do in basketball. His jump shot is exceptional when he gets it going, he can cross you up make an assist or take you to the hole, he even knows how to use his size advantage by posting up smaller guards like nate, Parker, cp3, etc. He good at slashing and playing off the ball, he even plays exceptional defense.
    He has a mixture of different players in him, he got the IQ and passing potential of magic, the athleticism and excitement of Mj, the speed, quickness and ball handling ability of Iverson. All that mixed together you come up with Derrick Rose. He can play offense and defense. He ain't the best defender but he can play solid d.
    His offensive game is unlimited when he gets hot from the 3p line. Him and Westbrook are the most explosive point guards in NBA history. The thing that separates the two is Rose has better IQ and decision making. And as a main weapon for a pg, Westbrook doesn't have a floater like Rose. He usually jacks up too many jump shots instead. Imo if Rose had Durant on his team he'd have a ring already.

    • @JRSwish-il6ho

      J.R. Swish Don't come on here insulting me bra. I can express my opinion and it could be an argument that when he at his best he's the top all around pg but if you don't think so that's cool cause I respect your opinion but don't disrespect mines. Last thing I need is another CZcams thug being tough over the safe internet.

    • @JRSwish-il6ho

      Nikee Ttg and I'm sorry for insulting you like that.

    • @nikeettg5613
      @nikeettg5613 Před 9 lety +2

      J.R. Swish Nah it's cool bra and no I didn't go too far and say that rose is better than magic, he hasn't even played long enough to be compared.
      What I said was Rose the best all around pg in today's era but magic is the greatest pure pg. D rose at his best form is the greatest all around modern day pg bc he can do everything on the court, things that magic wasn't blessed to do athletic wise. He has the abilities of different players all in 1 package like I said before just reread my last comment.
      You see different play styles mixed together when you watch Rose. A little magic, a little Iverson and a splash of Mj mixed in with his humble personality you come up with Derrick Rose, a physical specimen thats a pg which is rare.
      But no he isn't a better actual pg than magic, he has the talent to maybe become better one day tho and he's just a better gifted athlete. Magic is the greatest traditional pg tho, with his height and length he was a problem for any pg and he did everything a pg is traditionally supposed to do at their position but he lacked the explosive abilities of modern day guards like Rose.

    He's slowly but surely returning back to his old explosive self. Soon he'll be swatting Shots off the backboard and catching oops dunking on defenders like he used to but just not as much bc he's a smarter player now and not as wild as he was back then, he changed his game to more like a Tony Parker somebody who doesn't dunk. He already said he dont care about dunking he just wanna be the first to bring our city a championship since Jordan. But next year I believe he will be MVP again bc by then he will be back used to the game again. Hopefully after we win this year we can repeat and get 8th ring.

    sad... We are witnessing a man who should be in his prime, decline. He was one of the most explosive men in the league, the only other who could've contested that was Westbrook. I wish we could've seen these two competing against each other at the same level longer.

    25:45 is why I believe that Rose can return to MVP self. Kobe knows.
    He has the potential to be a (near) 50/40/90 player. Realistically about 47/38/87.
    Had great potential. Off the charts. A mini-LeBron of sorts with unparalleled on-the-floor athleticism. Could play above the rim. Short of the range that LeBron possess only on a physical basis.
    There are various attributes that we believe encompass athleticism. I can't think of anyone in all of sports [90s onwards] at his level circa his MVP year. Maybe the original Ronaldo (also prior to his injuries).

    I have to admit, I think the prime Derrick Rose is better than Kyrie Irving. They're the same exact height but Rose was way faster and he could jump like nobody's business. Not anymore, unless Rose gets his shit back together, Kyrie Irving, Curry, Westbrook remain as the top PG's in the league
