incredible never would i have looked before this video. while looking through my spare change which been in a plastic jug i found 4 rare dimes. 1967 1968 1974 1979 all have no mint stamp.

Back in the 70's I used a lot of dimes for phone calls. There was even a saying, "It's your dime" when talking to someone. Point is, they were used alot. Same with any pocket change because there were candies, 2 for a penny. Quarters all went into arcade games. We really used change for every thing. Thats why they are so hard to find in good condition.

I own the rarest 1966 Roosevelt dime! It is a SILVER 1966 dime overstruck on a 1962D dime. Certified MS62 by NGC and the only 1966 dime struck in silver known.The coin will be sold by Stack's Auctions in their August ANA sale. A 1965 silver dime of which about a dozen sre known sold for $14,000 in 2023

That is so weird, I just sent in a 1974 P dime along with a 1976P and 1976D to NGC yesterday. It has full bands in my opinion but it totally depends on how the grader feels the day he looks at it. Could be, or not. I'll let you know.

I have a 1970s through '80s with three different kinds of mints on just one dime of the '74
I have a 1985 p Roosevelt dime that looks identical to the last coin it even has some copper coming through the cladding on the edge only on the opposite side of the coin. I so wish I had a way to email a picture so you folks could see it and determine whether it's damage or worth grading

That's an older PCGS encapsulation so it can be resubmitted an FB designation can be added
I was thinking a similar thing about the dime from Denver , the closeup photo of the dime outside of the slab shows significant die doubling but there's no mention of it on the slab . Just the type/year of coin and the grade . There have been quite a few coins shown as the coin being the one that "recently sold for ..." and errors are clearly visible but there's no mention of them on the slab .

Right Lisa, I was looking at the slab itself, an like several I seen on EBay, an silverhound has posted way back, it could be a fake slab.....in any case, it doesn't have full bands an how it does show that an like the Denver dime you mentioned, with doubling an not graded as such, now I have an account with both PCGS n NGC an what pop list you pay for, is all they do.....like a coin with doubling, rpm, omm, imm, if you submit for just grade, it won't have the error listed, just a grade.....

Dime only one graded with lines threw top and bottom bands will I'm happy to say I have the second 1974p Dime that has both lines this is not a joke, I don't know what to do with it I'm not a member with PCGS the coin is Brilliant what can I do my luck someone will have one graded before me please reply soon please thank you Richard

I found a 1974 (Philadelphia) dime with the line that goes from top of the coin ends bottom of Roosevelts neck. And the back has a line that is horizontal from the end of the dime to the third plant on the back in the middle (the separation line). How will I know the value?

Sorry Shaun I have a unique Roosevelt dime, the only one known, it is a 1966 dime over struck on a 1962D SILVER Dime with both dates showing, NGC Certified MS62 ! A double struck transitional clad dated dime on a 90% silver dime planchet!
