I have watched, quite literally, every video on the Japan tsunami I could find. Your video, is the first to truly humanize the disaster of 2011. The cadence of your speech, and your choice of prose for your narration is extremely effective. My sincere compliments to you.

I have watched every video of the Japanese tsunami and have been touched by all the videos. Right now my heart 💕 is very heavy. Nine years later. The people of these towns have suffered so much hurt and hardship, but seem so gracious and caring of others. I'm praying for their recovery and rebuild.

What an excellent production! There are no words to describe how hurt I have become with this and the thousands of posted videos. I'm hurt because I couldn't be there to help. Retired firefighter and disabled after I left the fire service. I needed this video, all those who have and will see this video need it too. A truly above professional video. Thank you!

I truly feel so terrible for these poor people, and what they’ve had to endure.

Thank you help8help for your comments. I have tried contacting youtube about possibly promoting it but as of yet no reply. It is coming up to the one year anniversary of this tragic event and the world needs to see this and other documentaries to remind them that things are still the same. I was hoping that by putting my Doco up on youtube it might actually be seen by the world as I thought that was the original application of youtube....maybe I am wrong.

Sobering video, i appreciate your honesty in making this video and how the lifes of all those affected, affected you.
I work for a Japanese company, they are wonderful people, meak but strong, polite but at the same time single minded, watching this video has been a real eye-opener, the Tsunami fascinated me when it occured, it still does, but what it shows, its after effect, the mentality of the Japanese to rise to the challenage and overcome, start again and morn at the same time.
Qudos for this video, its well made, well narratted and made from the HEART.
    Regards from France.

This video is one of the most clear, credible and compelling insights into the unimaginably horrific tragedy that befell the Japanese coastline and the people within it!
This will forever remain a significant historical video document of a most incredible event!
Of all the haunting images and videos that I have seen of the aftermath, none was so utterly bizarre and ethereal as the sight of Japanese Maritime Defence Force Rescue and Recovery Dive Teams searching, room by room for victims in houses that had been washed into the harbour and had sunk to the seabed!
Pairs of Divers entered a house whilst others waited outside monitering their safety, and they were literally swimming into an underwater kitchen amid the rice cooker, microwave oven, bowls, plates and cups, etc, of this modern, everyday place that looked perfectly normal, other than for the presence of these two Military Divers swimming through it on the harbour floor!
At it's furthest, the tsunami travelled 6 miles inland and at it's highest point it reached 128 feet, figures virtually beyond human comprehension in this context!
A multistorey hospital stood on a mountain at the highest point overlooking a coastal town, yet the tsunami flooded to the ceiling the hospital ground floor level, 128 feet above the entire town and everyone left in it!
A 9+ Richter Scale earthquake, a major tsunami and a nuclear plant meltdown, explosion and widespread fallout rendering otherwise undamaged buildings and entire communities uninhabitable for generations to come!
This was the most significant event in my lifetime and I can only hope that it is never surpassed...

please let me know if you can, nice seeing you again.

This people in the affected cities n towns r doing the best they could but i don't think the government is. There are very intelligent people giving ideas for a faster recovery n the country doesn't listen to them, no wonder why the estimated recovery time coming from the government is double the time coming from experts

It's not that you want more Tsunamis but it bcse they are so far apart that the knowledge dies out with the people. I hope they leave much knowledge for future generations so that there great great great great great great great grandchildren won't have to face this same type of tragedy or death toll. Remember how horrid they are. Like he said only 45 showed up to the Tsunami warning 3 days prior but it didn't even matter bcse the 2 locations were lost in the Tsunami anyway.
