@Ling and Lamb , I have the same pizza cooker. You have to get it hot top and bottom first. Then place your pizza crust only on it for 4 minutes. Then put your sauce and toppings on. After that make sure you get the machine hot, top and bottom again. Then place your pizza on the pan that came with the presto pizzas. Cook the bottom only for 3 minutes and then switch to the top and bottom setting and cook for an additional 12 minutes. I have had my machines for many years. I have even made some of the best ribs you would ever eat on mine.I do cookies, and potatoes on it also.

Actually, I have this and have been using it for the past 3 years to bake my store bought frozen pizzas and it's been good. Look at the round button at the top, you set it to cook top and bottom, I guess you only set it to top only, that's why the bottom wasn't cooked. You will learn how to use it better as time goes on. And as for fresh dough like ling used, you might need up to 20 to 23 mins to get it cooked, but with store bought frozen pizzas, it's takes like 16 to 18 minutes depending if it's been thawed from the freezer or not. Bust generally, it's a very good pizza oven, and you will like it better as time goes on when you are used to the simple setting.
