I'm sorry if my question is trivial, but: 8:43 8:46 8:50... What is the name of that technique, to get that note standing above that way like it is humming and 'sky-rocketing'? And how do You do it? Some sort of power pinch and muting?

There's actually just some distortion from the mic that makes it sound weird... All I'm doing is using the flesh of my thumb to strum the chord!
