  • @sailorearthvwcthewhitepear6188

I like how she is so damn out of the box and still seems to stay really sincere about it. At least she's not faking her kindness. I prefer a little bit crazy over a lot of insincerity. Saara is an amazing artist AND a real human being, a combination many other artists have failed to present to us in the past. I wish there were more artists out there that are this talented AND kind to their fellow (wo)men.

I think she's quite right. Finnish people are more quiet and they do tend to point fingers at those who are more bubbly type of happy. It's one of the problem's in here I think. It's so easy to bully the one who enjoys life. We're not "dark people", but I'd like to say we're "gray" and not as open.

For information why Finns are a tough nation. In the northeastern United States, it was said in the past (to quote the article) "The outside is so cold that it does not move like indian and finnish." A few more years ago, Chicago, Illinois, had a restaurant in front of which the signboard stated: "Entry forbidden Indians and Finns." www.tiede.fi/artikkeli/tilaajille/suomalaiset_kavivat_intiaanista Suomessa syntyneistä 3,5 milj. asuu muissa maissa.

I'm sure most people know English is not the official language of Finland. Gotta give people some credit! I think most Finnish people speak some level of English but just not with an authentic-sounding accent like this. A lot of people also don't have the courage to use their English if they're not used to it.

Us Finns are still pretty god damn good in English, considering the amount of years kids learn it in school. The problem is that they don´t have to use it much anywhere and the education tries to be so precise with grammar and right pronunciation that it often suppresses the shy people of Finland of using it, Finns care way too much what other people think of them, that too many don´t dare to to try in the fear of making a mistake. The new generation is much more international through games and more travelling, but still there are so many people who are afraid to use it even if they understand almost all people say to them.
I used to keep few English support lessons while working as a learning support assistant and used to tell the kids straight out that if the grammar gives you headache, just concentrate on the words tests and DARE to use it! No one sane comments on your grammar but they notice if you don´t care to try to interact with them and thinking that you don´t like people you meet. The grammar will fix itself on the way, but the best grammar skills wont do the rats ass for you if you never use it and forget everything anyway.
