"Ipanema" is a rich neighborhood, and she uses it as a tribute to the original singers and also name it as "Girl from Rio" cause shes trying to say that Rio is much more than what people think it is, not just the rich and skinny top models, girls, but all kind of women. and not just the glamours lifestyle by the beaches in dowtown. The place where it was shooted is a artificial beach in a poor area of Rio, that the poor could use without "disturbing" the tourists (yeah crazy).
Fun fact: Anitta doesn't have a manager. She's is her own manager and have been making her decisions since the beginning of her career. 5 years ago she didn't speak spanish, 2 years ago she didn't speak english, now she's global. That's where you see determination and focus.
