- Try this easy trick to catch more fish this winter. Fishing a small meandering stream with a worm will keep the bites coming through the winter months. In this video I catch several small fish in a stream barely inches deep. Using a size 6 hook with 6lb line, three split-shot weights, and a fishing bobber; I had a good day fishing in a cold winter day.

Yeah it was like 2 days after. I don’t usually use nightcrawlers. I mostly use them every now and then during winter.

Maryland is full of little streams like this. That stream is nothing special. Pull up google maps and you’ll find some local streams to fish. Good luck!
