10/10 for effort there. I did this is 2011 with my wife on the back but the conditions were better. I arrived in Fairbanks knackered, but the weather forecast for the next five days was ok so I took the plunge. It paid off as I made it to Deadhorse and the Prudhoe Bay Hotel - appropriate as I live three miles from Prudhoe in the UK. The bay was named after the Baron of Prudhoe who was a friend of Franklin of the expedition fame.

You can do it. I did it on my 2010 Ultra Classic- I do have RK as well though. It was an epic ride to the Arctic Circle from California.

I met that gal you towed in Death Valley this past January. She is quite the character and can tell jokes that would make a longshoreman blush!

That was some serious mud, kudos to you for handling it so well.

I agree. The Connie was perfect for the 5,000 miles to get to Fairbanks, but she didn't like the mud at all.

I think I'll stick to the concrete roads, but thanks for the pic of Santa's house. I always wanted to see where he lived... :)

Wow, after seeing Connie in the mud on the Dalton Highway I'm having second thoughts about putting mine through that. Maybe a VStrom.

Have you ever looked into the Kolpin or Rotopax fuel containers. I will be getting one for cross country journeys. They might come in handy if you have a place to mount them. Great vid.

    No.
I was able to make it all the way home on one set, and had no punctures.

What year and month did you make this trip ?
I first saw your video in 2011 and decided to go to Deadhorse on a motorcycle. You mention Grand Coulee dam in Part 1 Video, imagine my surprise when I moved to Omak, WA in 2016 and saw Grand Coulee Dam for the first time. I had heard about it in your video in 2011. Now I live 60 miles from it.
I may finally make that trip to Deadhorse in a year or two. At least that's the plan.

I saw a lot of bears along the road, but none when camping. I never had any issues with wildlife that caused the slightest bit of concern. But I didn't cook or keep any food with me.

I used Avid Studio on a PC. I think I'll upgrade to Pinnacle Studio before editing this year's trip.
