They were big in the UK early 1960s: every kid on my street knew the words to the 'Top Cat' song (except for "Providing it's with dignity"... never could get that bit). We knew all those H-B cartoon characters better than we knew The Beatles. And all these years later, Rob Walker has to pay copyright fees to Hanna-Barbera just to use his own image in the VC. It's not right.
