It’s easy to get a used system that can play GBA games for cheap. You have the original GBA, the GBA SP, the Game Boy Micro, the DS, and the DS Lite to choose from, and there are plenty of shall we say ‘not Nintendo sanctioned’ options out there as well.
The sprites in GPL & Climax are so much better than Maximum Velocity. If this game had the same vehicles as that one, then I’d love to see a mod that replaced them with these
I was 10 years old when i played this game. 2004 was such a wonderful time. This, sonic advanced 2 and 3, ninja turtles, pokemon. Man...this iteration of f zero is my 2nd fave. (Gx/Ax is my fave)
Figuring out the maths, if Jack Levin won the last race, you'd need 2nd or better to win the cup! I can imagine the devastated look on Jack's face when you won... 👍😊😂
Man, you can see the hyper rubber banding from the MARK sign going slightly near the edge of the screen and then POOF snaps back to the middle. They're not even trying to hide it.
Cool game. Music is a fun upgrade from the snes version. Never played it, but you seem to do well. Only negative is the damn voice. They should just left it out.

This game seriously have the least most enthusiastic voice over, he's just saying ''Final lap'', compared to F-zero X where he screams, ''YEEEEAAAAH, DA FINAL LAP!!'' xD
yeah i think its friggin hilarious those moments when a collision happens and it breaks out into full out bumper cars for awhile until everyone can finally stabilize, like its funny to me how crushingly debilitating it can be over a collision that wasnt even the players own fault, the more erratic and ridiculous the bumper car collisions the harder i burst out laughing hah
Is it just me or the controls feel awful I thought u might press the a button to drive but now its the b button but the sad thing it won't let u tune ur machine in the settings In the story that just dispressing but it got a good story and as well good classic gameplay as like the snes f zero.
Regarding the button mapping, I was pretty sure that the A button was accelerate, but either way, the buttons can be changed in the options. I changed boost to the B button, since I didn't like having to press L and R at the same time to boost.

I actually do use blast turns on my video of the King league in the original F-Zero. For this game, perhaps they can be useful, but I don't consider them to be as important as they are in the original F-Zero or especially Climax, which punishes you a lot more for using the side attack as much as I do here.
arronmunroe Blast Turns are actually more useful here in GP Legend than in the original, IMO. Maybe more useful with Fire Stingray, but not so with the other three. Besides, how many time were you bouncing off of the walls in this from not Blast Turning?
Well, I only play with the Fire Stingray in the original F-Zero, so I can't compare it to the other verhicles. I don't think that every single time I crashed into a wall, it was because I didn't blast turn. Using the side attack might have made certain turns more difficult, but that doesn't necessarily mean it wasn't just bad driving that made me crash most of the time.
I never realized how big of a difference it makes seeing the city actually below the track as opposed to on the same layer as the track.
Yeah the Paralax effect is great and really gives that sense of racing high above the ground. i wish they would have added this to 99
