- While his brother John lines walls with trophies and (happily) deals with adoring fans, Nathan quietly goes about the business of surfing massive waves with close friends, and there’s nothing on earth he loves more. “There’s just a very specific high you get,” he told me. “You’re with your friends, you just survived a 15-foot Chopes paddle swell, you’re having a beer at the end of the day. You’re on this life high from the adrenaline. That’s what we kind of live for.’

Frank and concise. His head is screwed on, good luck to him ( loved the paddle takeoff pit he got at big Chopes that is on CZcams - there was just no room for error in that takeoff - only one line left by the time he was commited).
First interview I've listened to of this dude after hearing he won wave of the winter. Definitely seems like a great dude and I now root for Nathan Florence.
I don't think that he is underrated, I think he is just starring to grow up as a person and as a youtuber.
