  • This video shows a brief comparison of the footage from 19th & 20th November side by side.
The audio of Son And Daughter comes from the second night as Freddie’s introduction to the song is very much different. Since the audio is from the 20th, it means that the footage is from the second night for the 2014 DVD whereas the VHS is from 19th November which is the first night.
There are other different angles displayed in the VHS and 2014 DVD which one can identify if placed side by side. However, clearly Son And Daughter is the one which it is easy to spot as the other songs just have a second of alternate angles. For Stone Cold Crazy and Liar, just take a look at Freddie’s hand movements to compare. In The Lap Of The Gods Revisited too has an alternate angle of both nights as Freddie can clearly be seen saying “Goodnight” to the audience in a slightly different manner.
Audio is from the 2014 release to standardise the quality.
    Tracks:
    0:00 Son And Daughter
    0:25 Stone Cold Crazy
    0:30 Liar
0:37 In The Lap Of The Gods Revisited...
Note: Do share the video if you feel like others should take a look at this too..

I recently found out Ogre Battle has a mix from both nights and i think there's a nearly full version of it from the first night

I think the theme of two concerts in Rainbow is inexhaustible. Time will pass and someone else will make such a comparison to show everyone the differences

Yes. We are lucky that the VHS was released first so that we can compare with what QPL used.

Thanks. I have the VHS and it says on a small section on the back of its cover it says "The final date on that incredibly successful tour was December 20th at the rainbow theater in North London. That's weird because I don't think there ever has been a rainbow show on December 20th. But we all know Liar is the 1st night and now I'm here the 2nd so that means from what the website says and the evidence we have. Most of the VHS is Night 2 (excluding liar) and the 2014 release is obviously more night 2 but more night 1 than the VHS. What a mysterious show

@@potato-ed3qq thanks for the info! And yes, Queen didn’t perform at The Rainbow on December 20th but instead on November 20th.
