There will be people who say "All right for her, being rich" BUT !!! I was in a charity shop and there was a little boy (9), looking at a book on the Royal Marines. He was with his granny and she said that she couldn't but it. I gave the woman behind the counter a pound and asked her to give the book to the boy, not to his granny after I'd left. I was astounded almost a year later when, passing that same shop I heard the same counter lady point me out and say "That man did a wonderfully kind thing and didn't hang around to be thanked". I went home and cried my eyes out (age 73). That pound gave me so much joy in my new life in Somerset.

What a pity Harry did meet someone like Lady Edwina.

H's mother Diana was one of Lady Edwina's godmothers, so H probably did meet her often, they are of similar age.

Mind you, I wouldn't wish it on any woman or Lady, to be saddled with the ginger with his disabilities, which ARE NOT temporary!! They are to be a life long affliction. Henry is as much a liability as La Mouffette!

Wonderful lady. People like this are some of the best people you can find. Very smart, wise, and compassionate lady.

Great respect for Lady Edwina. Let's hope many other young ladies will follow her footsteps. I was in my teens in Holland when the drugs were rampant, my siblings and I never touched drugs.

So this would be a remarkable blend of penology and philanthropy feat used to tackle issues within selected segment of a hermetical population. One must be in total awe of Victorian values porous with hoosegow in GB which is obviously being referred to as a corollary. In search for a set of wrought measures to improve often strident prison conditions. Now this initiative of someone in a privileged position making an effort to reach out across the social spectrum must carry a robust chiliastic character, presumably with well meaning intentions. As all concerned have to countenance challenges and attain goals in a non profit sector. P.S with regards to giving it away to foreign countries with all those food banks across Britain, it may well be more rational to review one's allocation.

This reply is a little pretentious and caustic. When young and of some good fortune compared to my upbringing, I used my profile and an enormous white Bentley to visit little shits in reformatories and youth penal institutions under the supervision, of course, of an "house father". It broke my heart that I couldn't save the world but one "house father" in Redhill, at a closed unit, said to me, "Of the thirty boys you've seen today, if your visit contributes to saving just one, you've won an Oscar"!!! Every little, large, or humble effort where it's needed is worth the while

So blessed that she didn’t “snort her inheritance up her nose”. And all those poor “heroine addicts” who gave her so much to grapple with.
