DnB is still at a good place, you're just over-nostalgic for some reason, just listen to some great tunes like Spor - Nasty or Black Sun Empire - Ergo
those were the only years when dubstep was alive.

You must be a little too young as the golden age of DnB was around '96 to 2008, Dubstep (real dubstep) was '93 until 2005 maybe 2006. You shouldn't be getting over nostalgic anyway, there is still bangers being released all the time. If you can't find top tunes within these genres then you must not be that big of a fan. I could name a good few amount of recent tracks from both genres (underground, from small producers and famous artists). I will not list a lot but there is a few recent tracks that hospital records supported in their democast.
