Thank you for the great video, it is just what I need. I have one question, how can we simulate different support scenarios, i.e fix-fix column. I am trying to simulate eccentric load on column, can u show this aswell please.
You can use the same above model but add more restrictions to the rotation and translation to simulate fixed end case

@@UsamaAlSaffar Hi Sir, for fixed-fixed condition, I apply at the same boundary condition position as what you did above and ticked all u1u2u3, ur1,ur2,ur3 at both end, but still couldn't get the close value compared with Euler buckling hand calculation formula... I can get for Fixed- Free and Pinned- pinned, but not for Fixed-Fixed and Fixed- Pinned.. Do you have any suggestion.. TQ Sir and appreciate your answer :)

Hi there, what if the eigen value is negative, what does that mean? does it mean the structure will not buckle or i did something wrong?

Please make a second part of it to plot load vs displacement.
The deflection in the static analysis seems only occured in vertical direction, no lateral value. :(
There is a small value of lateral deflection, if you would like to see it clearly, try to reduce the column's stiffness.
Why You’ve select quadratic instead of Linear in geometric order???
this is because it's closer to the deflected shape from the buckling equation
@@UsamaAlSaffar could it be to take the (p-delta) effects into account?. If not, could you please confirm if Abaqus analyzes structures following second order analysis by default?

اذا اريد استخدم وحدات ملم وmpa شلون؟
بان تعرف كل الابعاد بال mm وتسلط ال load بوحدات N وتعرف معامل المرونة بال MPa
