- ›› In this video, I talk you guys through all the clips of Khal from when he was ridden for the first time, through to competing him up to 1m. He has only been ridden for less than a year so obviously he still has a long way to go, but we've definitely come a long way! I put in clips of some fails that I've never uploaded before because I know if I had uploaded them at the time, people would've been all over it like a rash but I hope that showing you that I am capable of schooling him through them and how we improved, that I'll deter some of the online trainers. If you want to give me advice or constructive criticism, then please watch the first half of this video first: • REACTING TO HATE COMME... Hope you enjoy the video guys! I had so much fun making it and watching through all the old videos :D

His trot extension is just so lovely to watch. He floats! Such a naturally talented guy!
I like how he's like OH HECK NO I AINT JUMPING THAT... But I will still Jump... Just not that... like next to that... Just not that... :D
Actually the only equestrian channel i can watch without cringing 🐴❤
what about loveravenwood? I think she has amazing editing skills. I also watch amelia newcombe dressage but she's a proper dressage rider so there is no cringe!
@@nala3055 never watched them, will check them both out 👍
Jade Alderson stephanie prince has a lot of go-pros and stuff !
You should watch Eddiesgun91, Lauren is also an amazing CZcamsr! She features in some of Holly’s vids 😊
Will give them both a try 👍
You've produced him beautifully and carefully, good on you! This is so nice to watch because Khal is a prime example of a horse that isn't the most flashy or scopey-looking youngster but when given the time has blossomed into a very capable horse. Lovely to watch well done to you both x
Khal is such a lovely horse. You've trained him very well! I did feel bad for the poor baby when he spooked at you dad though! It was so sweet! He was just like "Oh God! Human! Don't hit!"
It's lovely how sweet natured he is! He's obviously quite spooky but it's wonderful to see that he looks to you as his rider for confidence when he is afraid of something
i love how he literally becomes a mammoth in the cold months
I have no idea how the heck you stayed on when he did that huge buck going over that jump. My goodness I most likely would have landed on my face!Being thrown off balance and trying to stay on while trying to get him not to run off, and at the same time getting him back to you. Wow! That’s a lot to do at the same time. You handle those situations so well.Khal is just a beautiful boy. You can see Fiona in him by the way he just locks on to the fences. Such a good boy!
You’re such a brave calm rider. Great job helping Khal build his confidence.
You both worked hard and it’s paying off.
Thanks, as always for sharing these inspiring videos of your path. I needed to see this today. 💗
Bless Khal ❤️ you did a really great job in bringing him on. Nice to watch a rider with the same mentality to training as me 😊
The ending gave me goosebumps 😭❤️
Khal is such a seriously beautiful horse!! he's really grown into himself. great to see his progress over the months!
3:56 I absolutely love how you were letting him take his time
I love these breaking & progress videos ❤️
Yes finally! Been waiting for this
Living for these uploads ❤️
Brilliant video yet again Holly! You've done a really great job with Khal so far! xx
Mr Khal is so different now that he is older and more experienced. I love seeing the transformations!
OMG! I love this!! I love that when you are riding him at the beginning, the group of horses are at the gate watching :D
In regards to BTV, I find many babies just play with the bit to start---and you can see his evolution of learning! What a clever, clever horse!!! When you came off, you could see poor Cal was just like 'OMG! Human!" after the jump and he just darted sideways.
I wouldn't say he is afraid of poles--he's quite bold--I think he is just learning/was learning and not sure. I absolutely LOVE how balanced he is!!! Even got his leads!!
This has been so helpful to me I have brought on my now 5 year old since he was backed at 3. He has grown from 15.3hh to 16.2hh, we have just started going over some small jumps so it was great to see how you dealt with the issues I have encountered. Thank you for your time making and posting this x
Amazing progress holly! You have done so well with him 😊 loved this video ❤️

What a beautiful video of your baby’s progress! It so much fun to see the progress of the young ones. You have inspired me to put together one of my baby, an adopted mustang I got as a yearling, she is 3 now.

I was always taught to end on a positive note I’m happy I heard you say that he filled out very beautifully he’s so quiet at such a young age, very lucky to have a wonderful willing horse I know you put in a lot of work into him but he came along really well very fast
24.26 LOL That face 😍🥰😆😂
Nice and clever horse .good job, Holly.
wow what a journey! He looks so different throughout the video. I love seeing young horses to transform like that. Gotta make video like that about my youngster 😅
thank you for sharing :) And including all ups and downs :D
His movement is so lovely.
All the baby pics at the end were soooooo cute
Amazing! He is such a sweetie just like you 😄😄😄😄🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
He’s just lovely
This is what I needed while working with my VERY green horse😂😂
this was so interesting to watch
Love the jumps
He's gorgeous!!
your lower leg is amazing! could you do a video giving tips to help with a lower leg?
Try to keep your feet right under you, in line with your hips, and keep your weight down, otherwise if your legs are in front your feet will swing forward every time you rise to the trot
Stirrupless work. My instructor makes me do 10minutes every lesson (I have a lesson every day), and it’s helped me in the long run with my seat and my lower leg, because she makes me rise my trot without stirrups, which strengthens my lower legs.
I thought her leg was moving way to much..
lovley video!! 😍😍
You’ve done a fantastic job with him, you are my inspiration as your similar age to me also x
He's such a level headed 4 yo! I just started a series on my channel restarting my 4 yo (he was scared of leg aids which was fun lol)...Well done starting this boy can't wait to see you guys develop
You are a beautiful rider!
aww Khal is gorgeous!
O my god he is like the cutest thing ever
well done that is so good
He's lovely! Nice to see a young horse being well ridden and not forced into an uncomfortable position. I saw that this Video was four years ago. Maybe you have some more recent ones?
Yes, there a more recent progress video on this horse named Foal to Grandprix czcams.com/video/KSkKW3ihFtM/video.htmlsi=2e9nqEONCTwH4zbU

Khal’s a gorgeous horse you guys are lucky, he looks so sweet😍
I just have to know one thing...is Khal named for the Game of Thrones 'character'/term?? I must know.
U did amazing with him 😍😍😍
Wow the improvements is crazy . You’re very lucky to breed a horse like him people would pay a fortune for a horse like that.
what are you top 5 or 3 tips for braking a horse i am going to saddle brake a horse for the first time within 2 years so mabey the tips come in handy btw loved this video!
OMG! Baby Khal photos! I am going to figure his breeding is Irish Sport Horse?
Funny, how you say about his baby moments, but I've seen seasoned horses have those days in the show ring too--some days, we just have to accept it's not going well and return to some schooling and what a difference it makes! He is such a quick learner!!
Thanks for sharing---may I ask, does your father breed for a living or is this something he has done more as a hobby? He seems to really love horses and it's wonderful to see!! Does your Mom ride too?
I can't get over how nice his gaits are! Just love the trot!!! What breed is Khal?
Omg how is you seat so AMAZING!!! 😱♥️😱♥️
