What an eventful day. From a stage win, to leading the race, to a taping error costing the win. Today had it all. So good to see Jack back up there at the pointy end but unfortunate that it came crashing down like this. Onto the next one!

In the heat of the moment Jack went back the right way on track instead of going on around it.

I watched it like 5 times and it’s totally not your fault for taking that line more than a few definitely took it and I bet you they didn’t walk back up like you did, goes to show the type of mad dog you are doing what you believe is right not doing something borderline to take the win. JACK, it won't mean much to you at this point, but me and my 11 yr old daughter and 10 yr old lad watch all yr Vids and love them.
When you asked, "Should I have kept going?"
My daughter just said it showed how honourable you are that you walked back up the track and then kept flying. And still didn't really wish you had carried on.
We are all gutted for you but as my little girl said.

Gutted for you MoiMoi. You could feel the vibe building in the second half of the day and that course marking was appalling. Has to be said it’s a comment I heard a lot on the DH as well that the course wasn’t clear.
Look at this as train season, getting your eye in after a shitty year so any progress is a win.

Mtb enduro needs to adopt the rules of moto enduro that have developed over a long history. Tape gets broken, shit happens, if the tape is broken and there are clear tyre tracks then the “cut” line becomes legal. It’s the only way as sometimes it’s impossible to tell at race pace.

Six is solid - yeah man that tape thing is upsetting but how would you feel if you'd won with a cheater line..... maybe there's a bunch of other racers out there that took that line and beat you and are feeling shit about it. At least you can feel true and honest. That's a way better feeling and a much better sportsman thing to do. Setting good examples to the kids man - well done for being awesome! Next race is yours bro!

If I didn't like Moi Moi enough, his sportsmanship is unreal. UCI has to do something (racing and TV coverage). Definitely more marshalls, and make racers record their race runs, and submit them after the race...I don't know what the solution is.
A suggestion for how to police it: make everyone wear a camera during timed runs and turn over the footage to stewards if requested?
