SOURDOUGH DISCARD GARLIC PULL APART BREAD:
1/4 cup warm milk (about 110F)
    1 1/2 tsp instant yeast
    2 tsp sugar
    2 cups all purpose flour
200g sourdough discard (about 3/4 cup), room temp
    1 egg
    1 tbsp parsley
    1 tsp salt
    1 tsp garlic powder
    2 tbsp butter, melted
    Topping:
    6 tbsp butter, softened
    1 tbsp parsley
    1 tbsp garlic powder
    1/2 tsp salt
Combine milk, sugar and yeast. Add in flour, discard, egg, parsley, salt and garlic powder. Mix on low and slowly add in the 2 tbsp melted butter. Let it mix until a dough ball forms. Transfer to the counter or a silicone mat and, if needed, knead until it's no longer sticky. Transfer dough to a greased bowl. Cover with plastic wrap or a plastic bowl cover and let rise for 1- 1 1/2 hours or until it doubles in size. While it's rising, make the butter topping. Mix butter, parsley, garlic powder and salt until well combined. Once the dough is ready, grease a 9x5 loaf pan and preheat the oven to 350F. Transfer the dough ball to your counter or silicone mat and cut into 12 equal pieces. Roll into a ball and then press or roll into about a 4-5 inch circle. Spread on the butter you made, fold in half and stand up in the loaf pan. (RESERVE SOME BUTTER FOR AFTER THEY'RE BAKED). Cover with plastic again and let rise for 30-45 minutes or until they're puffy. It shouldn't rise above the edge of the pan. Bake for about 30 minutes until lightly golden brown. Brush/rub with remaining butter and sprinkle with flaky sea salt if you have some. Let it cool about 10 minutes.
